I should have known better than to think that, Chitowngirl! If my husband would share in my obsession or at least understand it , my life would be a lot easier!!! I was trying to just be happy with my cds and my downloads and checking for updates on this great website. I thought one concert would satisfy me for awhile!! Now I am in real trouble!!

Well now you know Donna, that once you see them live you only end up liking them more (understatement!!!). I think it's a VERY cool story that the couple you chose were acquaintances of Marty and Dino . . . so I'm sure your message will get back to them.
I felt the same way as you did . . . I just wanted to let them know they had fans in the audience who had come just for them. Which is actually the truth ;D because we missed the whole INXS set. But I'm really glad you are going to see them tonight at CBGB's and I have my fingers crossed that you will get to meet them.

Thanks Franny!! I honestly don't know if I will be able to go tonight. I got the tickets to CBGBs as a backup because I was afraid last night would be snowed out!! We always get dumped on sometime during the first two weeks of Feb.I had never told me husband about the extra tickets!! I had to lie and say someone gave them to me last night because they couldn't go.....and he's already not speaking to me!! I said we could go together and he wouldn't even answer me! I know this sounds totally ridiculus, but that is my life!! I'm on my way out to get him a valentine's day gift, so maybe he'll soften up!!

Alright I’m almost done. I did run into some Lovehammer fans by the merchandise area. We were still hoping the guys would come out. It was so nice to meet you Yakketyyak and Rusalka, I enjoyed talking to you both. And whoever that was who gave us the Lovehammer underwear to get signed at CBGB’s , we will do our best to try and get there tonight…although it may mean my husband divorcing me on Valentine’s day!!! I know my sister said she was going with or without me! Happy Valentine’s Day everyone, sorry if I rambled to much, I’m not a great writer!Donna  Loved your ramblings, as you put it  !! Wonderful first post and review! We all understand having to see the Lovehammers again as soon as possible after seeing them for the first time. Good luck with going to the show tonight (you have to go!). Great idea about the lingerie - hope it works. Keep us updated.
And please, post another review if you go to CBGBs tonight!

Sorry I didn't get a review of last night posted sooner but my 3 year old has been all over me today-I think he missed me last night. He's hovering even now, shoving cars in my face asking me to race with him every 2 seconds, so I gotta type fast. Anyway.... I guess I don't need to say that last night was awesome. I brought a friend with me that didn't know anything about LH until a few weeks ago when I started inundating her with info (after last night she knows a lot more). Anyway, we had rear orchestra seats, on the left, about 26 rows back. We were the only two people in our entire row and were almost at the very end of the row next to the wall. There were a lot of people around us talking about Rockstar & Marty, all positive things. Oh & on a side note, when we were waiting in line to give our tickets, the girl behind us was gushing over Marty to her boyfriend & he had clearly had enough of hearing about him. It was pretty funny-reminded me of my husband, though he is really tolerant of my obsession. So...I could barely sit down waiting for 8:00-I was literally on the edge of my seat. I'd had my own t-shirt made, a little black tank top that said "Marty Casey...my drug of choice" in red letters across the front. I was hoping to get it signed. As soon as the lights went out I was on my feet. Once Marty came out, my friend & I headed down the side and went all the way to the front. We stood in front of two empty seats on the left (second row) with 2 security guards eying us the whole time. They looked like they were trying to decide if those were really our seats or not. There was one girl over by us standing but most of the people in that area were sitting down. All I can say from here on out is: WOW. They were all amazing-full of energy & just absolutely gorgeous. Marty had on the red shirt & black silky low-rise pants & black sneakers. I was on my feet, singing every word looking like a complete idiot & not caring in the least. The set list was pretty much what was already reported. Its hard to remember the order because it is all kind of a blur. Several times Marty came over to our side & stared right in the direction of where the other girl & I were standing. Of course he wasn't looking right at me, but I certainly felt like it. I wanted to reach up there & drag him down off the stage. About 25 min into their set the real owners of the seats came & claimed them, two guys who were very nice about it & said they were glad we enjoyed them. We went back to out seats & since no one was standing, I didn't' want to block anyone so I stood at the very edge of the isle, near the wall. The guy behind me was covertly filming the entire thing. When Marty came running down the center isle, there was still no one else in our row, so I took off, through our row towards the isle, hoping to make it to the end in time for him to come by-of course he cut in to the crowd a few rows before he reached me. So sad !  On top of that, I nearly broke my ankle trying to get over there & REALLY looked like an idiot then. I don't know when but at some point Marty's shirt came unbuttoned, and then off-and then my tongue hit the floor. He is SOOOO not too skinny. I could barely remember the words of the songs for a few minutes for staring at him. Trees was amazing. Everyone was standing & singing. The audience was so loud at one point that Marty kind of laughed while he was singing. I think we made him feel good. (I hope anyway). It all ended way too soon. Hey, did I mention his shirt came off ? Yum ! Anyway... We headed out for a coke-I was so thirsty after all that singing & screaming-and then down to the merchandise table right after. SO DISAPPOINTED that the guys didn't come out . But I got a chance to meet everyone from the boards-yakketyyak, Tisha, luckydj, Karen-I can't remember all of the names but it was great talking with all of you. Donna, that was me with the lovehammers underwear-THANK YOU if you can get it signed. I will be in your debt forever ! And thanks Tisha for the covertly delivery of the button, pens, magnets & poster. I know all of you going tonight will have so much fun-Donna, do what you have to do with hubby, but get yourself to that concert tonight ! I'm soooo kicking myself that I didn't do more to convince my husband to go tonight. Oh & one more thing-did I mention his shirt came off ? (sorry, can't help repeating myself !) |

Rusalka, I don't know how I forgot that was you with the underwear...sorry, my head was spinning!!! I was also probably the girl you saw standing out , hope i wasn't too dorky.....I just called CBGBs and lovehammers go on at 10, so even if i put the kids to bed and then head down....even if i am standing in the back i will be happy. i asked if they would hold my tickets even if i got there late, and she said yes, i also told her i could be 5'9' with my highest heels and would i be able to see from the back, and she said i'd be ok...hopefully we can meet them and get your pink shorties signed!! The guys didn't come out?  ?!!!!!! WTF!!! That's the only thing that made me feel better about the 2/12 being cancelled. There I was thinking my only opportunity to meet them was blown and they didn't come out to meet & greet? Why? ? Is INXS jealous??? |

thanks everyone for all your great advice!!! need a life, i was so disappointed about them not coming out after reading about all the other meet and greets. i thought for sure they would come out. i finally did talk to the person selling the merchandise, is that jeremy? he said the facility wouldn't let them come out!!! I asked him where they were? he said he didn't know.... i should have gone outside and tried to find the door they were coming out, but i just figured they were rushed out. the security was really tight going in. the preson in front of me had to go check her camera. they didn't see mine with all the crap in my bag, but i tried to take one shot and a secrurity guard came running to my row, i dropped my camera on the floor and just ignored him and kept dancing...he stood there for like 15 minutes looking in our direction. |

Donna Donna, You're not alone. My husband thinks entertainment is for idiots and everything should be educational. I drive him nuts. I was almost glad that the Lovehammers weren't opening for INXS in Toronto and Kitchener because the temptation to go to two shows in a row would have been so high and my husband couldn't figure out why I would want to go to even the first one. |

luckydj, rusalka (I kept looking for you and hoping you would be able to get to the CBGB club), stephd, tisha, nancyBBE and anyone else that my menopausal brain can't remember to list, it was great to meet you and not so great to share our disappointment when we learned the Marty and the boys were not coming out to meet us fans after the Monday night show. People getting a reschedule for the cancelled 2/12 show, maybe you can get the Lovehammers to meet you all somewhere else after that concert? I heard the Hall would not allow for a meet and greet session. I hope so for your sakes you can arrange something. My seats were not great but the acoustics were good. I left my seat and moved outside of the row to dance and sing along when the Lovehammers were performing. It really bothered me that there were very few of us movin and groovin (I think I counted about 10 of us actually standing, but I was later told that some were told to sit down), while most of the hall full audience just sat there. "Ring Of Fire" at the end did get some of the crowd to react. Later during the INXS part (we just watched 1 song: Original Sin and left as we were not interested in JD doing his Elvis-type strutting around, the rest of the INXS band were good I thought), when Wendy and I returned to get our coats from our seats, we noticed that the theater was packed and everyone was on their feet and rockin to INXS...now why didn't they do that for Marty? The only thing that kept me from getting too sad, was that I knew the CBGB performance would make up for my Monday night disappointment...that and walking around NYC with sweet Wendyc122 as my tourguide...Girl, You are the best!!!!!! I am sooooo happy we are now friends for life!!!!!! Can't wait to plan our trek to the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland...anyone else want to meet up with us there? oops, getting off track, sorry! The Lovehammers seem to always put on a live performance that goes way beyond most rock bands...I hope all of you who have concerts coming up have the time of your lives...enjoy the Lovehammers high...it makes you feel REAL GOOD!!!!!!!

thanks for the pics i was at the 2-13 show and was so rushed we had to leave as soon as we got home from work to catch the train and i was going to pic up a disposable cam in Penn station but we got in late their was a train in front of us with a medical emergency and they had to travel very slow so when we got to Penn station we swallowed some pizza went to the bathroom got on the subway got off walked to Avery Fischer hall and found our seats and by that time thank god i only missed about 30 seconds of the first song so no time for a cam i would have loved some cherished pics of the hottest guy on earth........... ;D
