The Tower Theater in Philadelphia wasn't tall enough to contain the the unriveled rocking power that is the talent of the lovehammers. They just put such a positive pow in their show that it cannot be matched by other bands. When they said they wanted to meet everyone up close, I thought it was just talk but they were serious! At the meet and greet afterward, they all signed our cds and Marty put his hand out to me to shake my hand, looked me in the eye and gave me a huge smile! I just thought they would scribbble something on my cd and move me on, but, instead, I felt like I had actually met future rock royalty!

Welcome audley25, Yes, Lovehammers are the real thing. I think I have fallen in love with each of them, in a maternal way, of course! Glad you could experience them up-close and personal. Hope you keep on posting around here.

Thanks for the welcome lioness! I'm really interested in seeing this band succeed! I'm writing to stores in the area to stock their cds. It took me 2 weeks to get the cd in target in Philly and none of the other major stores seem to have it yet. When will they wake up! Thanks again.

I was also at the Tower Theater in Philly and I am still beside myself. When we walked in, I was amazed at how close we were to the stage. Second row pit seats were incredible. When Marty came onstage, it was the most surreal experience I think I have had. His presence was so overwhelming. When he sang Hold On, he crouched down and pointed in the audience and he was pointing directly at me. I made eye contact with him for atleast 10 seconds. It seemed like a lifetime, but was actually short. The lady behind me was hitting me saying MARTY SANG TO YOU!!!! As much as I like to believe he was singing to me, I know I was just the face he made contact with. BUT I felt he was singing just to me. ;D Anyways, the whole show was great. The way he was onstage and the way he moved and sang blew us away. He was more than I could ever have expected. I did not think it could get any better until he said he wanted to meet all of us after the show. I left INXS early to stand in line to meet him. Mind you, I had my mother, daughter, sister, and two other people with us and they were all so excited to meet him as well. When it was our turn, he was sitting behind this table with all of the other Lovehammers. I could not believe I was going to get to actually speak to him, I had no idea what to say plus I didn't want to sound like some wierdo. I did talk to him for maybe a minute but the one thing that stood out was when I told him I bought a Lovehammers tshirt, he looked at me and his face lit up and said Thank you so much for buying a shirt. I thought this guy was so nice and humble and very appreciative that I bought a tshirt. Plus that smile was priceless. Anyways, I just wanted to share this and say that my concert experience will never be forgotten and YES these guys are the real deal. I just hope they come back soon because I will pay any amount of money to get those seats back again.

I was at the show on Friday night as well ~ my sister and I were not as lucky to have second row seats...we were up in the lower balcony...but still, all the way up there the view was great and Marty & the band's energy really carried through. Several people sitting near us who hadn't yet been turned on to LH commented to me (since I was singing along to every song at the top of my lungs!) how impressed they were with Marty and the band, and many of them came back from the intermission with copies of the LH CD.
The meet & greet was worth every second of the wait. When it was my turn to talk to Marty, I didn't know what was going to come out of my mouth, and I know I must have sounded like a babbling idiot! I did ask him whether they would be coming back to Philly on their own and he gave me a very enthusiastic "yes, definitely...the crowd tonight was crazy!" He was so great, and seemed so genuinely interested in talking to everyone. I got to chat a bit with the other LH guys, and they were all just as cool and friendly as Marty.
So it's been two days and I'm already anxiously waiting for them to come back to Philly, and next time I hope to be MUCH closer than up in the balcony! ;D

Greetings lucy0325 & showgirl. So glad you both had great experiences with LHs (I never doubt that people will)! I am thrilled to hear that people who weren't familiar with Marty and the guys got "turned on" during the concert and bought CDs! Loving the converts. Hope to continue to see you around the board! Thanks for filling us all in on your experiences.

Hi Lucy035 and thanks for your tower story! I am so jealous at how close you were. We were in the right orchestra area one row from the back but we did have our trusty binoculars! Anyway it was kind of neat because you could get a view of the audience going nuts in this kind of gray light that made everything look so surreal in such a cool ancient theater with the carved pillars and the curved seating and the awesome acoustics! That place was just meant for the lovehammers! I couldn't get over how accessible and fan friendly the lovehammers were compared to the coldness of INXS. Yeah they have paid their dues and JD is good but they shouldn't be so complacent. Afterall, they are still riding on MH'S coatails. Anyway thanks again for your reply and maybe we will meet at a future all lovehammers concert!

The Tower Theater show *ROCKED*!!! I got to meet them after the show also. I had previously bought the CD, but I bought another one just to be able to meet them! I told Marty that and he said, "You're such a sweetheart!" I thought they were all so nice...Billy looked and me and said, "Thank you so much for buying our CD..." I am so happy that I got to meet them and even happier that they're all so nice! Rock on Hammers!!!
