I don't really think they can reschedule without the Lovehammers...without a major PR problem. They're going to have to find dates both bands can play, whether they happen to be touring together at that time, or not...

That would be weird. To have a different band opening the next leg of the tour, and then to have Lh come back to open for one show. I think the tour people would argue that people who purchased tickets were purchasing them to see INXS. (Of course, they would be wrong on some accounts.) But I would think that they would have to offer a refund.
They could tack the make-up show on to the end of the tour, after Minneapolis on March 2. Lh's next show after that isn't until March 9. Hmmm...I wonder when we'll know something.

As I've said before, if the LH don't open for INXS on the make-up date, I'm selling my tix.

This really bites!!!! I could have travelled as far to PA or CT as I did to NYC and I had to go and pick the postponed date. What awful luck. We had one of the warmest January's on record and it only snows when "I" need to go to the "city". not fair, not fair, not fair

I hope it all works out for you - I know the pain. I was/am scheduled for the Mpls show and was worried for a little while that it was cancelled or if it was postponed then would the LH's open for INXS. Fortunately, it worked out. I ended up going to the Chicago show.
I will be wishing you luck.

after looking at avery fisher schedule, the only possible date that makes sense seems to be the first week in march. After seeing that amazing cbgbs show, the lincoln center show has to be a letdown.

What will be a real letdown is if they don't reschedule!

Okay, I just got back from cruising over at the INXS board and there are rumors floating around over there that the make-up date is either May 12 or 13. Someone wrote that Yo-Yo Ma is performing at Avery Fisher both nights, so I'm not sure if either person is right. I'll call Avery Fisher and find out if they know anything.
However, there are also really POSITIVE comments about MCLH over there! Many INXS fans would be clearly disappointed if they don't continue on the tour.

Wendy, Wendy, Wendy,
How do you get on the INXS board? I can't get on. I just get a screen with a grey background when I try INXS.com. When I showed up at the "cancelled" show there was a group of ladies who stepped out of a Limo and were there to see JD. One was from Boston and another was from California. There has got to be some JD/INXS fans that are obsessed as I am about getting the new date.
I'm becoming a bitter person and I don't like it. I must get new date, so I can simmer down.

Hi Needalife,
Have you joined INXS.com? I signed up before the tour started when I thought that I might get better tickets through the fan club than by myself (which turned out not to be true). I think it cost $20. My membership is still active, so I logged in and then clicked on the "Community" link to get to the boards. If you are not a member, is there anything else you want me to check out?

Hi Wendy I get INXS e-mails but I'm not a paid member and I don't want to spend $20 to become one. I'd rather spend the money on downloading Trees from itunes. Thanks for offering to find out information for me. Right now all I need is to find out the reschedule date and whether or not LH will also appear. I just desperately need my LH fix. It's like I'm turning into a crack addict, which could be a little cheeky if you consider the kind of pants the boy Marty wears ;D ;D . Just please post as soon as you hear anything and I'm apologizing in advance if I become a pest. Regards, your fellow NY LH fan

Hi needalife,
I'm planning on putting the $20 to good use now. I tell myself that maybe we will be better off if they don't reschedule. When I went through the m & g line at Mohegan Sun, the only thing I remember is saying to Bobby that I hope they come back to NY soon. He said "We will." I'd rather see them headline and stay on stage for that much longer.
And you are most definitely NOT becoming a pest! I feel the same way you do; I just posted on another thread that I feel like a drug addict going through withdrawal. At this point I get my fix by watching those little video clips over and over and over and over ...
And your line about being a little cheeky is hilarious!

I thought I was the only one who noticed that, hhaha, and looking at pictures, it seems like his pants are like that at EVERY show (not that i mind...) I'm just as anxious as you to find out when they reschedule the show so you're def not being a pest at all!

I think Marty's choice of pants is deliberate ... he must know that he is going as low as is legally allowed! Such a bad boy ...

After I saw this post, I have to show you this that I found on the NET and I quote from a reporter: "Lovehammers played an energetic set as opening act for INXS at Chicago Theatre. So energetic, that lead singer Marty Casey had trouble keeping his low-rise pants up."

Since we haven't heard anything, maybe it's time to get proactive about this! Here's a link to the fan club management group for INXS: www.ultrastar.com/Here is the contact info for ICM, INXS's management group: www.icmtalent.com/contact.htmlIf you decide to get in touch with them about this, I think it's a good idea to present yourself as an INXS fan and to be nice ... I posted the same info over at the INXS site, since the folks over there are just as eager as we are to find out what is going on.

I think Marty's choice of pants is deliberate ... he must know that he is going as low as is legally allowed! Such a bad boy ... Not only is he talented...he's a marketing genious! I'm in my late 30's, have been happily married for 15 years, and even teach Sunday school. I'm out of my mind to be behaving like this and it's all the fault of those low-rise pants and darting blue eyes. I so wish I was computer savy. I would take the picture from Weathernboston with MArty in his white pants and make his eyes swirl around to hypnotize you and have flames darting out of those white pants. You know the picture girls, it's the one that makes you wonder if it was cold on stage (hint hint - look at his chest). Somebody slap me already!! Wendy - how did you hold it together on line for M&G? I think I'd be so red in the face for all these naughty thoughts.
