HammerHeadQuarters
Bennett Stained Glass – 338 South Main Street
My brother-in-law and his wife were kind enough to let us use their place for hammerheadquarters. They are located two blocks from Tom Lee Park, on the corner of Main and Vance.
I’ll put up a banner and some flyers. This will be a great place to keep all the street team stuff. Everyone can come and go and pick up stuff as they need it. This will also be a great place for everybody to meet up and get to know each other. Also, anyone wanting to exchange cell phone #s can do so here. I’ll have drinks and snacks ready. As soon as we know when the boys are playing maybe we can plan a party. And of course I will be inviting the boys – Dino, Billy, Bobby, Marty…HAMMERPARTY…come join us. We can have it at the glass company; there is also a little bar behind them (disco music, but he will play CDs we bring in). Does anyone know if the boys are staying for the weekend, or heading back home after they play?
NAMETAGS
I’m going to make nametags for everyone, so please post in this thread your name. If your board name is different, I will also put that on the nametag. I will have goodie bags for everyone who does this, so PLEASE POST YOUR NAME if you want to be a part of this so I can get a head count and have them ready. Just stop by the hammerheadquarters and check in, even if you don’t want to street team.
T-SHIRTS
Some of you have talked about wearing Lovehammer T-shirts. I think this is a great idea. Maybe even have something made. Something like Lovehammers Rock Beale Street on the front, and our board names on the back, a jersey type shirt. What do you guys think?
PRESS PASS
It looks like I will be able to get a press pass. So I will have a camera.
DINNER
If you guys want to get together for dinner Friday night before the park opens, or anytime over the weekend, give me some ideas of what you want. Places will be packed. I can see about reservations if we have a big group. Let me know what you think.
AIRPORT PICKUPS
If anyone needs a ride, PM me with your flight information and hotel information. I’ll see what we can work out.
GRACELAND
Several of you have talked about Graceland. They have group tours 15 or more people. They are open Saturday 9 – 5 and Sunday 10 – 4. Prices are $55 for VIP; you have to make reservations for this tour. $28 for 3 hour tour ($23.50 for group) and $22 for 1 ½ hour tour ($16 for group.) If anyone wants to try to get a group of 15 or more together, let me know and I’ll call it in.
MEMPHIS ROCK AND SOUL MUSEUM
If anyone is interested in this, it is on Beale St. Open daily from 10 – 6:15. $9 for tour.
MEMPHIS REDBIRDS
They will be in town at the Auto Zone Park. One block from Holiday Inn Select, downtown. Tickets range from $5 - $17. Friday 7:10, Saturday 1:10 and Sunday 2:10.
RIDE THE DUCKS
This is about an hour tour that travels through downtown then onto the water, they also offer lunch and dinner. Standard tour starts at $17.95. If anyone is interested I would call and make reservations. Can do groups too. 1-877-887-8225, memphisducks.com.
TROLLEY
Trolley runs all over downtown. I will have schedules for everyone. A 3 day pass is only $8.
This should be a great time. I can’t wait to see everyone.
