I just have to say this.

I went to INXS last night and saw Scott Stapp..the new opening act. I now suspect why Marty isn't opening for them anymore...they wanted to make sure they had someone opening who wouldn't upstage them! Scott Stapp has to be one of the most boring performers I've seen in a long time. The crowd wasn't into it at all...not like they were in to the Lovehammers when I saw them with INXS. At the end of his set he was begging people to stand! (apologies to any Scott Stapp fans out there).

I guess they didn't have to worry about anyone enjoying the opening act more than them!

One thing that bugged me was that J.D. mentioned RockStar several times and profusely thanked everyone for voting for him. That surprised me as I assumed one of the reasons that Marty isn't opening anymore is because they wanted to distance themselves from the reality show....odd. Though perhaps J.D. was just being a bit free with his words since he was obviously in pain and heavily medicated (he wore a full leg brace for the whole concert because he'd hurt himself onstage the night before). I felt bad for him actually.
