That's why I'm getting my refund. Col: In case you don't know yet but LH isn't going to open up for INXS during the make-up show. I got that from The Guitar God Billy himself.

Col, I agree with you. I am very disappointed that they would be so cavalier with a market as large as NYC, and not even post something on their website at least saying that they are working on it. I have posted several times over there on this subject, and have also written to their management and PR teams. I have heard nothing from any of them.
I'm probably going to sell my tickets to an INXS fan ... Now that MCLH won't be opening for them, I certainly see no reason to hold on to the seats.

I haven't heard very many INXS fans pissed that Marty isn't opening. I've heard many say they would love to have Marty still open, but think it might be best for both bands to move on and get out from under the shadow of the TV show now.
I'm surprised too that INXS hasn't announced the new date. I have no idea if this is really true... but I have heard that when INXS announces it's new US tour dates they'll be two in NYC, but at bigger venues this time. The people with the cancelled concert will be able to use those tickets for the new concert.

Naturally, being on the other side of the planet I am not privvy to information on this, but I will say that even here, venues like the Convention Centre are booked up for a year or two in advance. I doubt there are too many open dates in the AVH calendar to re-schdule the show. That being said, it seems clear LH won't be there for the INXS gig-- so New Yawkers, be patient. The Hammers will headline there again and you'll have them all to yourselves. Just please return them in the condition you found them!

Suzie, we have heard nothing official from INXS. Everything is word of mouth. That's the problem. Also, bigger venues aren't the issue. As a matter of fact, that would be worse. I have second row, dead center seats. Will they guarantee seats of the same quality in a bigger venue?
As far as selling your seats for more money is concerned, there are very strict laws about that in New York.

I can understand peoples frustration at not hearing anything from INXS about this. I really don't understand why they haven't announced anything yet... in less they don't know themselves... but they should say something!
I see what you're saying about the bigger venues being worse for those that had good seats at avery fisher hall.

Did you all receive the email I got last night regarding the tickets from Feb 12th?? I am so livid right now!! First of all, why aren't the tickets still good? Secondly, if they're not good, then why do I have to mail them back?? This is ridiculous!

The tickets are not transferable because the seating at Radio City Music Hall is completely different from AFH, and they probably also can't work out the finances.
What infuriates me is that the best seats at Radio City are $20 more than the best seats at AFH, plus there is an additional $10 per ticket handling charge. I didn't get on to the presale website until 11:30, but the best available seats were Row F ... sounds great, right? Well, BE FOREWARNED ... F IS NOT THE SIXTH ROW. Check the seating chart. The row closest to the stage is WW, it then works backwards to AA, and then starts with W again. So F is more like the 35th row.
Needless to say, I am not buying tickets to the show. They haven't announced who the opening act will be but since it is not going to be MCLH, I don't really care. I will return my tickets, and set aside the money for the next time I can see MCLH.

The fans over at the INXS board are really, really pissed off about this. Some of them didn't even get the email with the passcode.I'm amazed that it was handled so badly.

I haven't heard a thing about this, but I got a million emails from INXS BEFORE I bought my tickets. Are you saying that they are making up the concert in Radio City now? When?

Did both of you get your questions answered? INXS is doing the make-up show at Radio City on May 5. The tickets for Lincoln Center will not be honored at that show. There was a pre-sale for Lincoln Center ticket holders on Saturday, but the seats that were available weren't necessarily the better ones, and they were more expensive overall. I'm not going.
Marty said something about coming to NYC for a while to do some writing. Haven't seen anything about the band coming here (although I did email Dino to suggest that they play at Joey Ramone's Birthday Bash at Irving Plaza on May 19!)

I would have been devastated if one of my concerts had been cancelled.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for all you New Yorkers that LH will be doing a show in your city in the near future.

LH should do there own make up show because I'm sure they know alot of people were disappointed that the show was canceled because alot of people were going just because of the LH........... and they all missed out on there opportunity.
