New York, NY - 2/12 -- Postponed

Hello Everyone, I am new here, I sent cindy all my photos from CBGB for all of you to see, may be a little bit she is busy but will get them up soon.

If anyone has a ticket to the show that was cancelled on 2/12 and wont be able to attend it when they reschedule it, please send me an e-mail at
[e-mail] - I am going either way with or without a ticket but would sure love to see another show.

I saw two of them last week , CBGB and Philly !!!

Welcome to the board! Hope to see you posting lots. I am sure there will be lots of talk about the reschedule in NY when the date has been announced -- be sure to repost your request then so it doesn't get buried in the Marty avalanche!

The show has not been rescheduled. The rumors over at the INXS board that it will be ether 5/12 or 5/13 are false, since there are other performances already scheduled at Avery Fisher for both those nights. This is getting REALLY NERVEWRACKING!!!!!!!

I just checked over at the INXS board. If they are going to reschedule this show, it will have to be between March 2 and May 8, which is when they begin the Canada tour. Since March 2 is next week and they have been totally silent on this, I am getting increasingly concerned. Can we start an email campaign to INXS to see if they will give us some sort of an answer? We should be polite, but I would like to know where we stand.

I just sent a message to the staff over at the INXS board telling them that their NY fans are getting really frustated that there has been no announcement about a rescheduled show. I was nice about it, but I also made it clear that this is bad PR if nothing else. I'll let you guys know if I hear anything.

So I just read over at the tour talk thread that LH will NOT be opening for INXS when they reschedule this show. That blows.

Where did you read this about the show being rescheduled and LH not opening for the resched?

I thought I remembered someone writing me or posting somewhere yesterday about the show being rescheduled and they had tickets and LH was going to be there. But sometimes I get so many emails, Private messages and so on that I could be totally confused about this.

NO!!! You've got to be kidding me. The only reason I got my ticket (from eBay, at a cost of almost $200) is because I wanted to see Marty/LH!!

Jodi- You might have missed it but I'm pretty sure a thread was posted in either Tour Talk or this board, but INXS sent out an email to the ticketholders for the 2/12 show, and said that it was rescheduled to be May 5th but at Radio City Music Hall and that tickets were NOT transferable. They would be good for a refund at Avery Fisher Hall and if you wanted to see INXS you'd have to go out and buy tickets again. LH sadly, aren't opening for them, so I ended up getting a refund. Plus, LH will be performing in Memphis on the 5th, so they are definitely not opening for INXS.

Thanks for the reply, Luxie. What a monstrous disappointment this is. I've contacted the eBay seller from whom I bought the ticket, asking if he would give me a refund (I'm pretty sure his ad said he would do so if a show was cancelled), and am awaiting his response.
