Hey Gals, It was nice meeting some of you in vegas! What an amazing show. I see the back of my head on some of the pics. I'm so pooped from the lack of sleep...I'm a walking zombie. All I can say is that man is so HOT! Here is the song list:

Sorry, I don't know how to make it small. I didn't get it signed, because I purposely didn't want to bother them.
They also sang Mr. Brightside and 2 other songs.

I don't see Nancy's post as snarky, either. All of us want the LH to do really well, and would have loved the opportunity to see them again and show our enthusiastic support for this band. We also don't know when we will get a chance to see them again, so for those of you who were lucky enough to be there, can you imagine how you would feel if you found out too late that they wanted more fans to show up?

It is not like there were an unlimited number of free tickets there for the taking. Some people were able to get some tickets to the event from the folks who put on the party (again not from the band or anyone related to the band). The guys were happy to have some fans there of course and probably wish that there had been more but they had absolutley no control over that. And, yes, I can imagine that I would feel very bad had I known that I could have attended the show and didn't. But the reality is that it is not a question of "finding out too late that they wanted more fans to show up." The people throwing the party were nice enough to give out the tickets that they did but they were not in it to give lh a show of support...they were in it to promote their product.

I think emotions are high all around. I have empathy for those who were disappointed and I know if a call went out that the band needed us to show up for a concert somewhere there are hundreds of us that would do everything we could to be there.
I don't think that is what happened here. I don't think there was ever a call that more fans were needed.
It was a private party sponsored by XLR8 gum. When you say "something should have been posted on the LH board so that more people could have know about the possibility of going." I don't know if you mean that those of us who had tickets should have posted that we were going.
I just have to say that I didn't see a possibility for posting and saying--hey folks I'm going to the LH show in Vegas because one of the people on the MC.org board managed to score some tickets by convincing someone at the Hard Rock to give her those tickets--maybe you should call too. I didn't have the impression at the time that there were lots of tickets to be had. (Only after being at the show did I realize there would have been room for more hammer fans--not before.)
I would have loved to have all those that wanted to come in the room with us because it would have been a blast. The more hammer love the better.
As for Doc McGee--I'm sure he is more aware that we are of the perils of these sort of gigs. I don't think he is judging the guys by this. He's taking good care of them! Marty's brother shared with me that he had the guys take a limo from the hotel to the cafe which is about a block--because they needed to arrive in style (how cool is that?)
I want us all to share the good feelings that come from being a fan of this terrific band. I can see both sides and I'm not accusing anyone of being snarky. I'm just saying emotions are high and let's all cut each other some slack.
Enough said. Have I beaten the horse enough?

Yes its a shame we all couldn't be there I'm happy and sad at the same time I'm picturing what kind of awesome feeling it would be to stand next to Marty and of course Dino, bobby, and billy. it would have given me a chance to experience the rest of the band that i don't have the same connection with because i have the history of rockstarinxs to associate with Marty and i know the whole band is what its all about i haven't gotten the chance to get to really know much about the others to have the same connection that i would like to have. I've seen them in NY but never got the opportunity to meet them, it's like a dream come true for those of you who were there i would have done anything to be there I'm just frustrated as many of you probably are what idiots who ever was in charge to not have more people there to show our support thats the exact kind of show I'm praying for to be able to experience them. my obsession is being stifled by some jerks who can't get a show together thanx for letting me vent I'm going back to wpcc now to rejuvenate

There is a saying that I like: It is you can't make everyone happy all of the time.....My hubby and son have a saying that they use sporadically when the situation arises. GET OVER IT! I feel sometimes it is harsh but on the upside: LET'S BE HAPPY FOR HAMMERHEADS WHO EXPERIENCED A HAMMERHEAD DREAM COME TRUE!!! LET'S BE HAPPY THAT LOVEHAMMERS HAD SOME HAMMERHEADS THERE TO SPICE UP THE PARTY!!!! ;D

The people throwing the party were nice enough to give out the tickets that they did but they were not in it to give lh a show of support...they were in it to promote their product. I was simply responding to a comment upthread that implied that another poster was being "snarky" about not being able to go, which wasn't the case. There were also other comments on the board that implied extra tickets were available and that fans didn't know about them. We are all interested in supporting LH and helping them go all the way. There is no one here who doesn't agree with that. But because there were conflicting accounts floating around and a few of them implied that more LH fans might also have shared in this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and shown their love for the band, you shouldn't be surprised if some people are very disappointed.

I'm just thankful that the few that were able to attend shared their stories with us. Although I wasn't there, through their stories I felt as if I was. They were truly lucky and I think they all know that and ALL we can do is be happy for them all. And, hope for our opportunity at such a wonderful adventure.

Maybe you guys could find another term to use for those complaining about not attending this event....maybe they are whiny, bitchy, etc. You say "snarky" like it's a bad thing, and a comment like that just might be likely to upset some people, myself included.
