I'm a little baffled here. As the newest tour dates are confirmed, I can't get it out of my head about what Billy said after they turned down the recent tour with INXS. He said that fortunately, they have more going on for them.
Libertyville, Mokena, Owosso? An Oyster festival in Wicker Park? Is that seriously more going on for them than touring major cities with INXS?
Sorry to be such a downer, but I'm really disappointed to see this. The best gig that I see is Summerfest in Milwaukee and they had already booked that on their own before signing with a major label.

Maybe they are just wanting to break away from the whole INXS thing and prove themselves on their own away from that spotlight. I think it's a good thing.

I was pondering the same thing about the places they're on tap to play, but "on further review," I think that this actually might be a good way to go "grass roots" so to speak for the band. They played in some of the biggest venues on the INXS tour in the metro areas but also some of the smaller ones and now probably have figured out what will work best (for world domination, of course . ) Plus the ticket prices might be more in line with enticing new fans...

I remember an interview with Marty (anyone have a reference) where he said that they wanted to remain an opening act and have an opportunity to tour the US. Marty stated that it was the smartest route to reach more fans and enlarge their audience base.
Yes, I too would like to see them picked up by a big tour but am still happy that they are playing almost every month!

Their fanbase is slowly building and could take awhile but it will get there. I am impatiently waiting for those club dates and place to be announced!!! ;D
