WHAT A DAY!!

I'm posting a couple pics of Marty with our 4 year old granddaughter Leah, who first met "HER Marty" in Lincoln City, OR in January ... We took her to the Day in the Zone and she (with her 8 year old cousin who was holding a sign that said "Junior Hammerhead" - Marty LOVED it!!) sat on her Granpa's shoulders for the whole set holding her sign that said "LEAH LOVES MARTY" over her head ... About 2/3 through their set, a lady waved me over from inside the fenced area where the bands were hanging out, so I went to see what she wanted ... She wanted to invite Leah and her cousin to a MEET & GREET WITH MARTY, DINO, BILLY AND BOBBY after they were done!! We went, they all remembered her, she got her hug from Marty & they talked, we chatted briefly with the guys and IT WAS ABSOLUTELY THE BEST!!! I hope to be able to tell them all one day how wonderful it was for our little Leah and her cousin Bea; just indescribable!! Hope you all enjoy the pics!!

THANKS! Believe me, she remembers!! When she comes to our house she punches up all his videos, AND all the Rockstar videos!! And then we MUST play the cds LOUDLY!! I just hope he realizes what an impact he has on folks of ALL ages, and I REALLY hope he stays that way!!

Welcome to the board jewelzinoregon. Glad your grandkids had a great time. Did you post the pix somewhere? Am I missing them?

Those kids will have great memories and I just appreciate the guys so much for taking extra time with the children!

I got a chance to watch the guys for quite a while relate to the youngest hammerheads. It was so sweet. There was a moment when Marty was signing autographs through the fence and there was this young boy maybe 6 or7 trying to take a picture with a camera phone. Marty was bent down and so patient as the little guy was taking his time with the phone trying to get just the right picture. I looked over and smiled at Marty--because he was being so nice. And Marty must have saw me because he looked straight at me and smiled back and gave this look like wasn't that kid cute.

Dino had sharpie on his arm because let a kid sign his arm.

Just makes me them more.

Thanks cj! I tried to insert the pictures and it seemed to work, but when I posted the message they weren't there!! I emailed the webmaster and attached the pics, asked if they could get them in for me ... Keep your fingers crossed! And YES, every time I've seen Marty around the little ones, his attention goes directly to THEM ... says ALOT to me!

Thanks! She's the kind of person these "special" things just seem to happen too ... And since Gramma & Papa love Marty & the guys too, it makes it easy for us to help make her dreams come true ... Just doin our jobs :-))

Sooo cute!!! That is awesome, I remember reading your post from the Lincoln City show too.

My 4 year old HammerMonster got to meet the boys on Sunday, I didn't get any pics though DOH!!!!
He was so stoked & you're right, the boys were very cute with him, Marty got down to his level & talked to him. Plus Bobby & Marty signed photos we have of our little 'un playing his drums!!

Did you guys go to the Lincoln City show?? Did you get your stuff signed through the fence in Sac?? We were standing there in the M&G line watching them be their charming selves...I so hope they just stay that way, although I would imagine it to be close to impossible once superstardom hits - They are in my prayers daily!
Sounds like your little one got a "Marty Moment" too, that's great!

Hey Julie,

Yes, my wife & I were at the Saturday night Lincoln City show, I post over at the LH board as LoveHandles & my review of that show plus DITZ is posted there.
We did get autographs thru the fence, then my wife took our boy over to the Kids Zone & I waited in line with RB, Angelshadow, keshet & nina99 to get to see the guys at the M&G at the booth.
I don't think we have to worry about the band not being their selves even if they BLOW UP (which they will) this was my second time meeting them & they were still awesome, genuine & soooo cool. When Dino first came up to the fence, he had a bag of M&M's & asked my wife if wanted some!!! LOL

Nice to "meet" you too!!!

Hey Again, I am SOOO frustrated that so many people from mc.org were there and we missed everyone AGAIN!! We have been reading these threads since RSINXS was going on, and it po's me no end to read about everyone actually getting together at the shows ... HOW does that happen?? We were at the Sat nite show too(!!), stayed through LH's set and then went to get Leah but she was already asleep so we just hung out losing our pennies waiting for the guys ... I certainly will check out the LH board too, thanks Mark!

I'm sure enjoying your stories and pics!! The ones of Marty with the kids are just precious!
(by the way, it doesn't take children to get Dino playing with Sharpie's - just ask Nancy Davis about Memphis!!) - but cool that he let kids sign his arm!!

Hey CJ, good to "meet" ya! Hammerjam is Number One on my wish-list right now, but unless we experience winning the lottery or something similar it's probably going to remain a wish ... but so far those of us who don't get to go to the majority of the LH shows get to live vicariously through those who do, and how nice is that :-)) It WILL be THE show of the year no doubt - who knows - judging from our little Leah's experiences, miracles certainly DO happen! Sounds like you're going? Good for you!!

Hey CJ, good to hear from another Hammerhead Oregonian, I will be at HammerJam & at the Friday night dinner, maybe we'll run into each other..

Julie, hope you get a miracle & can make it. I want to go to all the shows this summer but could only afford DITZ (as it was close) & one more, so HammerJam it is because as CJ points out, it WILL be the show of the year.

BTW, I was able to hook up with fellow Hammerheads at DITZ thru the board, we had a role call thread over at LH.com, so I made arrangements to hook up with Rockbeast & Angelshadow & went from there. If you do make it to Hammerjam, let me know & we'll make sure we hook up!!

Morning Mark, thanks for the info on how to find everyone at the shows!! I looked up fares & stuff on expedia last night and they're not as bad as I thought they'd be, so maybe the miracle is not as far-fetched as I thought ... Plus my birthday is 10/18 and it's one of those "milestones" so I'm putting out the word to the family, THIS is what I want!!
