Just to let out-of-towners know--we currently have very bad conditions in the area. A half million people in St. Louis are without electicity, which includes businesses--restaurants, hotels, gas stations, etc.--and most municipalities have boil orders for their water. The city of St. Louis, and the two closest Illinois counties--Madison and St. Clair (both of which I work in)--have been declared disaster areas. There are downed trees and power lines everywhere, very long lines at the stores and gas stations that ARE open. We had more storms today. My daughter's home and one of her cars were damaged by flying trees (she literally said she saw trees flying by the window and told her fiance she thought maybe they should head for the cellar!) The heat has backed off a bit and no more storms are predicted for the next couple of days at least, but it's been weird, and I hope it's back to some semblance of normal by next Wednesday and Thursday. If you're coming from out of town, just check a source or two--your hotel or one of the tv stations-- www.ksdk.com or www.kmov.com. I'll also try to keep you posted here.

Wow! I saw this on the news....it really looked serious. I hope you and your family are safe and not sweltering in the heat.
I feel your pain... I live on the coast of Florida (hurricane alley) and hurricane related conditions (no power, gas shortages, water shortages, damaged buildings, flooding etc etc) are a summertime staple. It sux for sure. Hope you guys are back to normal soon.

Yeah, this weather is hitting all over! Looks like east coast today! Good thing Blueberry Hill wasn't this past Thursday--hopefully all electricity will be restored by next Thursday. They were saying possibly Sunday for some of the folks I work with that live close to BBH. My daughter said her power lines were actually ripped off the house, hers might not be restored until Tuesday! The good news is the weather forcast looks good. No rain predicted and the temperatures look decent too. Everyone keep their fingers crossed for another great LH experience!!!

I have no idea where Blueberry Hill is but thought I would mention that I was in St Louis for Sammy Hagar this past Saturday & stayed at the courtyard by marriott at I70 & earth city, right by UMB. They had just gotten power restored Saturday & had no ice & the water smelled bad. BUT other than that I was VERY impressed with this hotel & very reasonably priced, SOOOOO comfy beds with like 8 fabulous pillows on each bed. I accidentally went to the other courtyard by marriott on 270 & page first but they had power too & I didn't notice downed trees or anything over there.
