I know some of you are planning to meet for dinner before the show. You can use this thread to coordinate your plans. That way they won't get lost in the main Canal Room Thread.  |

China town is just around the corner from the canal room so that is a sugestion to go chinese. it is less expensive than the other places and the food is excellent went there last sunday and ate at MR Tangs sevrvice and food was great they have alot of big talbles could fit about 8 at each table and Tues probably will not be crowded. other places to eat besides micky D's would Sbarros pizza or in Soho also around the corner from the canal room they have alot of stuff i am not sure what it is and are more pricey ,but I am up for what ever you guys want........!!!!
If ya want to definatley pick a place like Mr Tangs I could call and make reservations

I would definitely be up for Mr Tangs. I lived in NYC for 10 years, and moved back to CT in 1994, so I'm really out of the loop with restaurants. I have heard of Mr. Tangs, though. Right now its a maybe if we can make dinner. It will depend on what time Hubby gets out of work day.

I will be in a party of 3. I am pretty sure everyone would be good with Chinese. Location sounds good, group tables a plus, and reasonable price always helps everyone. I too am very flexible though so what ever majority wants is good with me. God I can't wait 17 days now...  Sharon |

sharon..........I will also be up for what ever everyone wants. Can't wait either it will be awsome to meet everyone this will be my first real show..........the one at avery was not that good I was too far away to see the band and they did not have a meet and greet and i also did not know about all you guys then.........so this will be just so much fun.
do you know who else is going I had a list and lost it maybe I could pm them with the chinese suggestion to see so that we could plan a little in advance.

Who woulda thunk that I travel all the way from Hong Kong to eat in Chinatown...? LMAO.
Anything okay with us. We are two. I'll try to check in again before the date, but won't have access to PC the week before the concert.

 8 days  OK so is everybody ready to confirm some dinner plans? the Canal Room doors open at 7:30 so I'm thinking we might want to meet between 4:30 and 5, even up to 5:30 for those who can't get there till later. I would like to be in front of the Canal Room by 6, OK yes I am a little excited. I am fine with Mr. Tangs unless someone is just set on something else. I think it might be a good idea if we could call the resturant by Thursday and let them know how many of us are planning to be there. I will be with 2 others. I can't wait, everyone is saying how great the shows have been now that they are the headliners and don't have to hurry thru a short set. They have also been doing meet & greets at all of the shows.  woo hoo Sharon

Hi, myO. Please add me to the dinner list too. It will be great to meet/see everybody again (like yak!) I'll probably be one of the 4:30 chowhounds. Like Sharon, I'd like to be in line at the Canal Room no later than 6 p.m. for the 7:30 doors. And it looks like Mr. Tang's is over half a mile away, so it will take 10-15 minutes to hoof it over there ... Yep, I'll be gobbling my dinner down pretty quick for once  myO, when you make the reservations, do you think you'd want to let them know that some of us will be coming in at different times and that we'll all have a show to catch? That way, they can be ready to get everybody fed and on their way asap  |

Myo, thanks for the headcount and organizing this. Jodie and I will be making the longest drive of our whole east coast journey that day so I am allowing 4 hrs from Baltimore to NYC on the 8th. We do not know what time we are gonna get to NYC and get checked in, and showered and ready and all that. So at this time, dont commit us to the dinner list, sorry. If we make it--we will show up and get a separate table so as not to put the staff at Mr. Tangs out, then come hang out with y'all. But if not we shall see all of you lovelies in line at the canal room and inside. We'll try to be out front same time as everyone else 6pmish.
