Win Tickets to See Marty Casey and Lovehammers Band


The Owosso Downtown Development Authority and WLNS are giving you a chance to see Marty Casey and Lovehammers concert this Saturday at 7pm in Owosso for free. We're giving away tickets to everyone who sends an email by 9am Friday.

To claim your tickets, just send an email to [e-mail] by the deadline. Be sure to entitle your email "Concert Tickets" and include your name, address and phone number. Your information is strictly confidential and will only be used to contact you, if necessary. Must be 18 or older to enter. Rock Star: INXS runner-up Marty Casey and Lovehammers concert to benefit Shiawassee County Habitat for Humanity

Marty Casey, lead vocalist for Lovehammers, won over a few million new fans when he was featured this past summer on CBS' hit television series ROCK STAR: INXS. Now Marty Casey & Lovehammers have agreed to perform in Owosso on August 12th to help Shiawassee County Habitat for Humanity raise funds to build its 2006 home.

Marty Casey & Lovehammers, a longtime Chicago area favorite, is one of the hottest tickets in America right now. The band's hit single "Trees" was the #1 download on MSN.com and their self released DVD debuted #1 on the Billboard DVD chart.

Shiawassee County Habitat for Humanity, along with event Gold Sponsors Republic Bank and Wolf Communications Inc., is excited to welcome a band with such a huge national following to Owosso. Shiawassee County business Main Beverage Co. is also supporting the event.

For music fans this is a great chance to enjoy a national band, contribute to a local cause and receive a tax deduction for their ticket purchase. The concert will be held at 7 p.m. on August 12th at the Lebowsky Center in downtown Owosso. The Lebowsky Center is a restored turn-of-the-century vaudeville theater with a seating capacity of 850.

This is a unique occasion to see a national band in an up-close and personal setting rather than the large arena venues usually used for such performances. A local band, Middle Name, chosen at a Battle of the Bands held in June, will open for Marty Casey & Lovehammers.
