Ok just read penny's important update on page one.
I think this is a great idea, and just let everyone know who is going via mass pm how much it is per person and we will pay up front. This is not a big deal!! Then it will be all paid for! WAY LESS A HASSLE for you (remember VIPER ROOM/RAINBOW?)
I have a feeling that the end count will reach 150 or more, so it might have to be split in two groups of 75 like you said. Group A and Group B

Okay, you may have noticed the thread name change...I thought it appropriate.  Here's the deal, all. I am going to try to get us all together. But I need to know ASAP how many people we are talking. For real. To get as many hammerheads as possible together, please don't say you are coming if you aren't sure. Also, please think about whether you really want to bring 20 of your friends. I'm not going to turn people away, but we hammerheads are quite the group on our own, you know? I am going to ask for money up front. I hope this doesn't offend anyone, but I don't want to be responsible for a huge bill if people commit and then don't show up. I'm looking into places with party packages so we should know exactly how much it will cost per person. I will have a date by which the money will need to be sent to me. When I have it, I will sign the contract with the restaurant based on how many are confirmed and paid. If the group just gets way too big, my suggestion will be to split it in two. We'll see how many we have on the list. I am going to take another look at this on June 1st, so please spread the word to those that have not RSVP'd yet. Thanks, and please let me know if you have any questions. Any complaints can be directed to DG, as it is probably all her fault. Somehow. I would love to hear your complaints starting on June 3. They will be read as soon as possible and replied to in the order they arrive. However, since I 1. Have never been to Chicago 2. Will not be at HammerJam 3. Have no idea what Penny's doing 4. Don't know what Chicago style pizza is you may want to limit your complaints to "Penny sucks" and move on. |

Hey Penny, Do any of the Hotels that most of the Hammerheads are staying have a room we could rent out? Thanks so much for putting this together. Add one more.........my girlgonewild is now coming to the festivities......we have to work out how we are going to have our 4 children looked after but we should be good.
We'll be driving (about 9hrs) and arriving Friday night. We'll meet up with everyone on Saturday.
We're looking for a hotel near HoJo's..........
We'll be spending Sunday sight seeing and heading back on Monday.

I want to go, but not sure if I can yet. It depends on when we can get into town Friday evening. Probably the earliest I could get there would be 7 pm. So if the dinner is after 7 pm, you can sign me and 2 others up.

Stil, we don't yet know where we will be. I am making calls, but I will need to know for sure who is coming so I have a number to work with. And I will be asking for everyone to pay ahead of time (see my first post in this thread). So I will need a definite yes or no (not today, but soon). You and your better half can always meet up with us all later if you don't make the dinner!
I'll put you on the not sure list for now.
