We also thought about taking a cab to the Metro and back to the hotel. Are there cabs waiting outside the Metro or would we need to call? You won't need to call for a cab...they're there. The last time we left a concert at the Metro, we had a cab within 60 seconds.

I'm another one with my room at Days Inn O'Hare (Elk Grove Village) -- plus I am with knee brace/cane so will find cabbing it much easier to deal with than train or bus -- so would love to coordinate trips into town and share cab fare whenever possible.
My flight is due in Friday afternoon at 1:55 pm - will go from airport to Days Inn - after I settle in, will head to HoJos where many of my Asylum buddies are staying - will be attending the Pizza Dinner that penny74 coordinated - whenever that winds down, will probably head back to Days Inn.
For Saturday, I plan to try and hook up with folks by lunchtime, maybe some sightseeing - before I go to soundcheck (whatever time that will be) - then hang close to Metro until 6 pm for concert - stay until everything's done (whatever time in the a.m.) and maybe join folks for breakfast before heading back to Days Inn --
so - anybody wanting to share cab rides, please pm or email to me -- thanks --
