I don't have a lot of time to post, but I wanted to hit a major highlight. They played Real Man, Throw My Head, and Summertime In The City!!! The show was amazing!!! The rest of the set list was similar to the Blue Note show. Except they got the acoustic working from the beginning, and did WYWH and Clouds. Marty made very similar comments, too. Dino gave a cynical shout out to Karen and Delores. They pulled a bunch of people up on stage at various times, not just kids. (I'll leave that to them to talk about.) The crowd was very energetic. It wasn't your typical LH crowd though. Some were really obnoxious and not respectful of their fellow fans. Just thought I'd mention it in case they read this. Play nice everyone! After the show, they guys went out back to meet everyone. I was a little surprised, the bar kicked everyone out immediately after the show - midnight. The bars usually don't close until 3 am in KC. HMMMM. Since I had to get on the road, I jumped right into Marty's line. He had promised to sign my Memphis paper in Columbia. He remembered. Then I talked to Dino real quick about the infamous crime duo. That really sucks! Thanks to Sheryl for taking our pic. I didn't stick around after that though. Sorry Bobby and Billy. Had to get on the road. I know this isn't as detailed as my last review of the Blue Note, but I don't have time so just hitting the basic highlights. We are the Fury ROCKED again! Red Line Chemistry was pretty good too. More punk than rock. Apollo 13 didn't show up. That just meant we didn't have to wait as long for LHs! Well, I better get to work. If I have time later, I'll post more details.

I will post some pics from the KC show (or a link to them) later tonight.
Well we had an great time at the concert and it's great to see some of the same people everythime we go. That was our son that had on the t-shirt that said Warning: It's My First Concert!! He was ready to kick our butts when he found out we had gone to a couple other shows so since this was an all-ages one we decided to let the LH be his first concert. As usual the guys put on an amazing show and the crowd seemed to love it as usual. Although I was ready to go tie that one guys hands down (if you were there you know who I’m talking about)!!!! It wasn’t too packed but once everyone realized the LH were ready to come out the back tried coming to the front but we all managed to protect our space. Marty has a lot of patients to manage and keep from just smacking peoples hands away, especially when they have the hands in his face the entire time. The guys always play to the fans and appreciate them being there. What is even more interesting is how protective their loyal fans are of each other and the band, making sure that everyone can enjoy the show. And of course we got to see and hear the newest member of the LH, singing right there along with Marty. Now she just has to get her mom up to her rockstar status. Our son didn’t know what to think when Dino handed him a guitar pick and really didn’t know what to think when Marty pulled him on stage with the others. After the show he sat by the door outside waiting for Marty and was very happy to meet him and Dino. We also gave Marty a picture of my daughter with the t-shirt he had signed for her 16th birthday which was the 19th and she put a note to him on her invitation which was a CD. He seemed genuinely appreciative to get it from her. I still have a hard time thinking of any band I have enjoyed so much in a long time. Our son couldn’t believe it when Marty just came over by all of us and sat down and started talking to us all. His first concert was supposed to be Nickleback in September and we have already warned him that he will remember the LH and his experience at their concert for a lot longer than the Nickleback concert. Besides how many people can say at their first concert they got to go on stage, meet the band and get them to sign their t-shirts!! By the way he got home and set that t-shirt on his desk like it was going to break.
We cant wait until we get a chance to go see them again!!!!
PS to the Jeff City girls, next time I am around the Grand Emporium if I see the old man that seemed to like you so much I will tell him you said HI!!!!
