I've found that many times radio stations across the country follow trends - with the trendsetter stations being in CA. I'm going to focus on helping the fans in CA getting radio play there....hopefully it will translate later into playtime here! It may sure enough! My hubby was in CA for 19 mos. and brought home lots of great music that about 2-3 years later started getting played on mainstream radio here! Geez, I live out in the sticks ... |

I am listening to Mark & Brian right now thru www.kgon.com A caller just called in to say how much respect he had for Marty and the Lovehammers after seeing them signing autographs for hours after one of the Lincoln City concerts and for mentioning during the concert that "they were a band, it wasn't just about me". It's appx. 7:41am PST and Mark and Brian just said THE LOVEHAMMERS WILL BE ON IN THE 9:00 HOUR!! So even if you're on the east coast you can still catch it. (This usually means they will play between 9 and 10.) They just played Straight As An Arrow coming back from commercial!  |

I totally hear you penny about Mark & Brian -- their humor is a little off sometimes. (IMHO) But one of the great things about them is that they are champions of unsigned and just signed bands. For example, if any of you who are familiar with the band Train (I personally loved the first CD, but the second not so much) Mark & Brian had them on for literally years before they were signed, critically awarded, etc. (I'm sure there are many more examples, but I can't think of any others right now...) Plus, if I'm not mistaken, I think they are syndicated all over the country in major cities. Hopefully they'll plug the heck out of Lovehammers.  P.S. I swear I don't work for Mark & Brian, I just listened to them mornings for years when I lived in Portland. ;D |

That's awesome, and I love that they are pluggin' the guys!
Even the fact that they've mentioned them every 5 minutes helps...and playing their music.
