I watched Marty on Rock Star and thought he should have won. So when my brother informed me that Marty was coming to perform in Ocala at Coconut Jacks and I talked him into going with me. We both enjoyed the show; the acoustic jam session was very personable and even convinced my brother to buy Marty's CD. He is now a fan also. We both enjoyed the show and the chance to meet Marty, he was very nice. Hope he comes back to town soon either another acoustic jam session or with the Lovehammers. We both will catch the show again.

 Hi Connie, Thanks for your comments about the show. Marty is an awesome performer isn't he. If you ever get the chance, go to another show, he and the band just get better every time you hear them. Glad you and your brother had a good time.

Thank you Connie for taking the time to sign up for the board and post to tell us about your experience. It is so wonderful for all of us back here on the board who couldn't go to the show to be able to experience it vicariously through those who could attend. I read everyone of these show reports and appreciate hearing from fans who were at the show.

Hi, new to the boards, but not new to loving Marty.  I was at the CJ's show. Why oh why was I such an idiot and couldn't mumble but a few words to him, I know this is a common phenomenon but I had so much I wanted to say to Marty and now I've missed my chance!! The show was amazing, incredible and I loved every minute of it. He sounded so good and I loved all the back stories behind the songs. The new songs were awesome and his comedic timing was the best, he cracks me up and well as blows my mind and rattles the old soul. Thanks Marty.... |

Kit, i did the same thing when i saw Marty at Bourbon Street. Could not think of anything to say, then ended up saying something i later thought was dumb. Luckily i had a second chance two days later at the Tampa show, i didn't make quite as much a fool of myself, but still had a hard time coming up with the words. He is just so mesmerizing you forget everything you want to say at the moment and as soon as your moment is up you remember everything!!
But have no fear, i'm sure you will get another chance someday!!

Thanks for the nice words! I realize its a common thing for fans to get speechless around artists they admire, I just never can believe it when it happens to me because I am normally a very bold and talkative individual! Hope the rest of his shows went great!! Merry Christmas to all the MC and LH fans!!
