Various Artistes: Rock Star: A Night at the Mayan Theatre (Sony BMG)
The reality-based talent show, Rockstar: INXS, was an ingenious idea. On the search for a new lead singer, the remaining members of Australian rock band INXS held a televised international singing competition that ran over a couple of months. At the end of the competition, singer J.D. Fortune came out tops, crowning him the new lead singer of INXS. This compilation album brings together all 15 finalists of Rockstar: INXS, singing songs they performed on the show. The more memorable ones include Baba O’Riley by Jordis Unga, You Really Got Me (Marty Casey), Smells Like Teens Spirit (Mig Ayesa) and Remedy (Suzie McNeil). The album also has two bonus tracks.
