There seem to still be a few people out there who are bitter (or something) about Marty's popularity and already posting bad reviews about the CD on iTunes. Check these out...
“Why make such a mediocre cover of an awesome classic as Wish you were here? Trees has to be one of the most musically immature songs out there. And what’s left in the middle? Fluff. Do people even remember how good lyrics JD wrote for Pretty Vagas and how Marty just sat back and did nothing?” [...just quoting here. I know, it’s not only inflammatory but grammatically incorrect.]
“this stuff sounds just like creed if you hate creed this aint for you”
“i guess anyone who comes in second after performing on some second-rate show gets a recording contract these days. give it up, marty. you were a loser on the show, and your album is a loser now!”
I’ve already reported a few of these, but we need to get more reviews up there from people who have actually HEARD the album.

The positive reviews are coming in now. Clearly the negative ones are from very odd people who need to get a life.
One question: what's with the cover of WYWH? Is that only available on iTunes or is it on the CD, too?

The cd is #23 on iTunes sales today, so all the cranks out there are clearly not having much influence. I think many "reviewers" have conveniently forgotten that Marty was the most popular rocker. I doubt whether most of these nay syers have even heard or purchased the cd. BTW It says on iTunes it says that WYWH is available on the album only; I had not heard of it on the cd before (not on VH1 version) nor seen the track listed on Sony's pre-sale website, but it's there. And it's pretty damned good.

It is? Weird, because WYWH isn't on the actual CD. Thanks for the info, chk.

If anybody is looking for an excuse to run out and buy an iPod, this is it.

That is so disappointing! I can't believe that some people have waited months (since the RS INXS finale) to waste so much time to do something negative. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~` Just saw that the album is the #18 downloaded album of the day

My husband just freaked out that I'm downloading it to get the extra song-when I already have a copy of the CD. Just can't help myself. Its at #19 for downloaded albums now.

Yeah, POP! Really weird. I think Apple needs to get a few thousand emails from us about it. What's also weird is that MOMM is also listed as Pop (!) but L'Strange is listed as Alternative.

My husband would have a cow if he knew that I basically paid $9.99 just to get one song! But...what he doesn't know, won't hurt him.

I reported the first and last Marty-bashing reviews. I also rated them all as not helpful. People need to get a life and stop being haters!

Hey the cd is NUMBER 7 this morning! Whoot Whoot -- and to answer the pop thing -- i think it reached a braoader audience if it's promoted that way. Maybe, like the name of the band, they'll adjust that later....

It's up to #7! And still #1 in pop, with a five star rating overall.
