On January 19, 2006, Street Teamer Mia INVADED Alternative Radio Station 103.5 KLite FM. Her enthusiastic promotion of Marty Casey and the Lovehammers resulted in having the new single of the band "Trees" played for the very first time on Philippine radio airwaves at exactly 11:20am. Since that day, tons of requests for the song to be heard have come in
and are still flooding in.
"Trees" was played again today, around 5:00pm January 24, 2006. The DJs of 103.5FM KLite Manila's New Alternative have nothing but praise for the song.
International listeners can listen to 103.5FM KLite Manila's New Alternative on the internet
and request "Trees" to be played. Click on Lite Net Cast Radio to hook up to the station. Below is the link to request songs via email:

Don't be shy to tell a DJ that you'd like to promote your favourite band Marty Casey and Lovehammers and that you are willing to go to the radio station in person to do a "blurb". It worked for me. The worst thing that can happen is for the DJ to say "No". But then, I never take "No" for an answer when I want something good to happen
Make sure you have some giveaways to give when you do a radio promo. It shows that you are "professional" PR person. As a token of appreciation, I gave some stickers that I had printed of Marty Casey and Lovehammers to the DJs that were around the radio station at the time of my "interview".
I'm still waiting for the recording of my interview. As a gift to DJ Ron, who was open enough to let me do my plug about the band, I had a custom made Marty
Casey and Lovehammers t-shirt printed for him.
I still can't believe that I'm doing all of this. Marty Casey and Lovehammers have possessed me through their music! Good luck to the rest of the Street Teams around the world. My next mission is to ambush the rock stations in the island of Cebu, Philippines. I'll be working there for 2 months to do research and product development for my relatives music events cafe (www.handuraw.com). I leave Febuary 4th. I can't wait because my cousins are musicians like me and
hopefully we can do covers of Lovehammer songs. The cafe I'll be working at showcases live bands. Like Bobby, I'm a drummer too--rusty because I haven't played in years but I'll get back into the groove. I hope.
Once I have a copy of the interview, I will have it posted ASAP. It's taking forever for that DJ to record it. Argh!
Alright Hammerheads, Rock on! Thanks again to those who took the time to listen to me go crazy over the radio!
