Hi Everyone, First I want to THANK YOU ALL from the bottom of my heart for all your prayers, kind words, well wishes, notes, messages, calls, everything...I can't even begin to describe how much it means to me & really - honestly - how special I feel this community is. My Grandma passed away this evening around 7:30pm, I was with her until about 4:30pm & as it turns out I was the last person with her. We thought it was going to be last night...my mom, sister, & 2 aunts & myself were there with her from about 9pm til 7 this morning. It's been a tough thing to wrap my head around but in the end I know my Grandma is in a much better place, out of pain, she can remember everything! (she's had Alzheimers for years) and is now with my Grandpa again. I am still going to the Charlotte show, leaving tomorrow at 9 & will be with Rockfan on Monday after I get to see my cousins who I haven't seen in years! It will be a needed diversion from all the heaviness of the last few weeks...I hope we have much fun to report & some great pictures. I know I made promises a few weeks ago, omg I can't believe it's already been a month since the LA show...but I still have pics to be posted & am bringing a disc of them for Cindy in Charlotte...and will fill you all in on my Marty encounter from Vegas when I return. Depending on my Grandma's services, not sure if I can be in FL next weekend... anyway, I'm sorry to have been such a flake & I will be getting back to normalcy very soon. Rockbeast I have your Suzie pics & will email from Rockfan's house -I'm so sorry didn't get them to you sooner! to you all... ~Jodie

I am so sorry to hear about your grandmother passing. I knew it could not be good with your being out of touch for so long. I am thankful you can find comfort in knowing she is at peace now. I'm praying for you and your family.
You have been missed!

Jodie-
My word girl--You are not a flake--just dealing with much more pressing matters. Although we all love to hear about your LH adventures, we certainly understand priorities. Sorry to hear about your grandmother. Even when it is time for our loved ones to leave us--it doesn't necessarily make it easy. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

Definitely gal, you are not a flake - crazy OJodie maybe - but not a flake.
I'm sure you will get lots of love from family and mc.org friends on your visit to Charlotte and it will be a needed diversion.
Much love to you girl, safe travels, keysunset

Jodie,
I'm so sorry to hear about your Grandma. I lost my Grandma in 1997 to Alzheimers. I was pregnant with my daughter at the time.
It was a relief and so sad all rolled up together because she had been sick for so long.
My Grandma was Australian and had a wonderful accent. Every time I hear someone from Australia, I remember her.
I hope you have your special memories too.
And most of all, remember that you will see her again one day.

My mission at the .org this morning was to get someone to call you, Jodie, and give us a report on how you were doing. Then I got online and wow, there you were!
I'm so happy that we've heard from you, as I'm sure I'm not the only one who was thinking about you every day. We knew it had to be something serious to keep you away so long.
So sorry about your grandmother's passing but Alzheimer's is no way to live for the person or their family, that's for sure. I truly believe that our family members only leave us physically and are still "around" helping when needed, being there to "listen" for our well-being.
Sending love out to you from Maine and hoping to meet you one day in RL... Paula (aka ginger)

Oh it's so hard not to cry right now so I am as I'm typing! Tears of sadness of course because I miss my Grandma so...but you know, also tears of gratefulness (is there such a thing? if not, I just made it up so there is now ) for everyone's kind words here. I'm in NC now and spoke to Rockfan yesterday & she told me about all the nice messages waiting for me so I had to check it out. I'm absolutely humbled by the love & support I have received here at mc.org & I don't think there are adequate words to describe how much it all means to me...so just a simple THANK YOU to everyone but know that it runs much deeper... I'm at my cousin's house now & guess what, they saw Rockstar INXS & remembered Marty, but had no idea about his band, etc...& I have now given them the music & we have 4 new hammerheads! (spouses included of course) My cousin Jeff's wife even tried to get tickets to the show tomorrow but they are sold out. So I'm really happy about that, it was fun to see them all & to share the Lovehammer love! hee hee (And, my cousin even joined my business so we're business partners now! It's been a good 24 hours & a happy diversion from being so sad) So everyone, have a wonderful day, can't wait to meet Rockfan, DG, Cindy & Amy, & whoever else! xo J p.s. here's my mom, my sister, me & my Grandma @ Christmas...
