Purpose of this Forum
What is "squee" you ask? Squee is fangirl squeeling. And we all love to squeel about Marty!
We need to keep all of our other forums directional and relevant. If you feel the need to squee about Marty, please do it here and not on the other threads. Everyone loves a good squee from time to time, but we need a special place for it, so we've created a nice roomy thread.
So, posts that are things like:

Forum Do's and Don'ts
Good Manners and Respect Dos and Don'ts
DON'T be snotty to another poster, or make the argument personal
DO know the difference between differences of opinion and personal attacks
DON'T post the same opinion over and over in the hopes of wearing other people down or "winning" a discussion; just move on
Posting Messages Dos and Don'ts
DON'T post until you've read at least the last few pages of content
DON'T post "Me Too!" messages; add something of substance to the conversation
DO use proper spelling, capitalization, punctuation, et cetera
DON'T pimp your site URL or product, et cetera
Warnings, Bans and Trolls Dos and Don'ts
DO take any Mod warnings you get seriously
DO help us out and report trolls and troublemakers to the Moderators

Board Blowups
We are looking into what's causing the problems at the board.
The biggest problems:
* People posting large photos
* Replies that "quote" photos
Please refrain from including photos in your quotes of other members. This is a major contributor to the board's burping problems. Also, please don't post large photos - resize them before posting.
I'll post more when we get a better feel for what's happening. But please help with the above so that we can cut down on errors.

3. Remember this is a public board so keep it congenial and keep it clean.

Blowups
What one looks like-
Pages suddenly disappear (an earthquake) or a message appears with a weird time stamp and the author is guest.
What to do-
Notify the forum MOD and then start a new thread.
Don't Panic-
This happens at least once a week.
Getting Started
If you are a new Fan and need to start w/ squee, here are suggestions.
1. Jump in and say hello
2. Post your favorite picture
3. Keep at it
Sometimes things are busy (either in the thread or elsewhere) and we don't immediately respond. Sorry when this happens and it does not mean that we are ignoring anybody. If you ever feel left out then PM us.
Picture Tips/How to..
By special request: how to use photobucket.
1. Open a Photobucket account.
2. Upload your pictures into your account. To do this faster, there's an "upload multiple pictures" thing, and you can upload 19 at a time.
3. There are three text boxes under each picture. Use the first one for avatars, and the third to post pictures on the board. Copy and paste the URL in those boxes onto the board. Ctrl + C to copy and Ctrl + V to paste are useful shortcuts.
Avatars
To set up your avatar:
First, you need to save the avatar to your computer. Then you need to upload it to your own web storage site (like www.photobucket.com Photobucket accounts are free and pretty easy to set up.)
Now, look up to the top of the board. Under the "MartyCasey.org: A Marty Casey Fan Site" Banner, in little writing, click on "profile," (right beside "logout").
Next to "Member's Bio," click on the link called "Modify Profile."
Scroll down to the section called "Personal Information." In the field called "Avatar URL" put the link to the avatar. (At photobucket it gives it to you under the photo in the picture album in a field called "Url.")
For "Avatar Width" and "Avatar Height" put 100 in each field. (That's what all mine are and most others are too.)
"Personal Text" is whatever you want it to say under your avatar.
Click "Modify Profile" at the bottom of the page and your avatar is set up.
You can also set up other features in this section like signatures and website links.
Other Reminders
Due to the amount of traffic in the Fan Forum and recent changes to the site, we have decided to update the guidelines for posts in the Fan Forum
1. Any references to genitalia should not be made (whether in innuendo form or flat out).
2. Any references to sexual acts should not be made.
3. Any conflicts you have with another person on the board (ie w/ a mod or friend) should be kept in PM's. If you are play fighting (which is very humorous) please make it clear that you are joking.
4. Respect the other readers of this forum. It's not as easy as "just don't read it." We don't want any visitors offended either.
Suggestions
1. Please monitor yourselves. We all have a sense of what is decent and acceptable and what is not. Send a private Message (PM) to each other if you think one of your group is getting out of hand.
2. Keep in mind that at any moment one of Marty's family members (or other band members) may be reading. Ask yourself if you would want to read this about your brother.
Regulations
The MODS assigned to this forum cannot always keep up with the Forum so we have asked the other Mods to help out. Listen to them as you would us.
Follow these guidelines. There are now consequences in place. Let us state that EVERYONE we have had to deal w/ as a Mod has been cooperative. It's important though that we state now what could happen should things get out of hand.
1. A private message (PM) warning - Take these seriously (everyone has so far)
2. A Mod will modify or delete some of your posts
3. You will receive an "Official Warning" from an Administrator
4. The matter will be turned over to Cindy or Amy
Cindy or Amy may repeat the above steps, but we feel you should know they may also revoke posting privileges or suspend accounts.
Locked Threads
We have started locking threads that have either "broken" (lost pages and/or had a "guest" post) or that have reached 100 pages. This is to prevent glitches in these threads. The active threads are always "stickied" at the top of the Forum. I'm sorry for any inconvenience or confusion this causes.
Archives
We have created a board to Archive all past threads, it is in the Fangirl Archived Area. This is to help keep "Kabooms" down and also so that when one happens we won't have to restore ALL the threads
