So, I was going through my stack of unfinished stories and things from school earlier this evening and I happened across this folder. Well, remember I promised a part 4 in my Elizabeth and Marty series. Well..........I found it! Or at least what I've written, which is a good amout. Might as well post it.
"Man Fulton, I just don't know how you can stand it. What with your parents getting a divorce and getting back together again. I'd have gone nuts." Sixteen year old Randy Notts said to his best friend Fulton Casey. "It wasn't easy." Fulton replied strumming a few chords on his guitar. "For a while I didn't know what to do. I mean, first they got a divorce, and then Jess got sick. For a while nothing went right. I found out I had this brother that none of us knew about. Then Jess got better and mom and dad got back together."
Just a short year ago, the happily married couple, Elizabeth and Marty Casey got a divorce because of a secret on Elizabeth's part. Then, their youngest daughter Jessica, then five, became mysteriously and gravely ill. Right before Christmas, Jessica made a miraculous recovery, and the two got back together. They exchanged their vows and were currently in Australia on their second honeymoon. The Casey household was currently being run by nineteen year old Jack and Elizabeth's best friend, and Randy's mother, Alex.
Just then, Mark Hayes and Brad Peters walked into the garage where Fulton and Randy were setting up guitars, drums, and a bass. Together they made up the band Heartful Hatred. Fulton played guitar and vocals, Randy the drums, Brad bass, and Mark guitar. The boys had played at several small venues but nothing big yet. Nothing at least like Marty. Marty was in the well known band Lovehammers. He, drummer Bobby Kourelis, guitarist Billy Sawilchik, and bassist Dino Kourelis had played all over the country to screaming fans and fainting fangirls. Elizabeth signed on to the message boards at martycasey.org and had met some of the ladies of the group known as the Asylum. She had given them knowledge of things such as what kind of underwear Marty wore, and where the band was planning to go on their next tour. "I miss your mom." Brad said picking up his bass. "Yeah," Mark added, "She made the best cookies." Fulton laughed and shook his head while Randy rolled his eyes.
Inside the house, Alex was sitting at a table in the living room, painting a landscape of mountains with a forest and a winding river. Every few minutest she would set down her paintbrush and rub her aching hand. She loved painting but it was hard for her. Years ago, when Marty and Alex had only just met, she was in a car accident which caused her love of art to become difficult. "I need a drink." She muttered to herself, while getting up and going into the kitchen to get herself a beer.
"Alex!" someone screamed from the bathroom. She sighed and put down her drink and walked to the direction of the noise. "What is it Megan?" Alex asked before walking into the bathroom and gasping in shock. Seventeen, blue eyed Megan was holding her normally dark red hair her eyes huge and her mouth gaping open. "They turned it green!" Megan sobbed. "Who did dear?" Alex asked still in shock. "Ron and Tyler that's who!" Megan said angrily. "I'm going to kill them." Megan walked towards the door, but Alex stopped her just before she got out of the door. "No one is going to kill anyone." Alex said. "At least not while I'm here." "But my hair." Megan sobbed. "Look, we'll go to the salon and see what they can do about it." Megan nodded and ran to her room before anyone else could see her. "Ronnie, Tyler, get your butts down here right now!" The eight year old twins slowly came out of their room. "You two, living room, now." Once the two were seated on the couch Alex began to express her anger. "What in the world prompted the two of you to dye your sister's hair green?" Alex looked from Ronnie to Tyler before shaking her head. "All I want is one excuse. Just one." "Well" Tyler began, "We figured if we dyed her hair green," "She wouldn't be able to go on her date and she could stay home with us." Ronnie finished. "I should skin the two of you alive, but I'll wait for your parents to come home, and they can decide what to do with you. You're off the hook, for now." The two scampered off leaving Alex craving a drink even more.
Ok, that's not all of it. I've still got a good amout to type but my fingers started hurting. LOL, all the typing I've done in the past is catching up to me. I'll add more later. Hope you enjoy it. I also made a list of ideas I want in the story. Kinda glad cause I couldn't remember what I wanted in it! Well,
^Don't worry, it's non alcoholic.
