Just got an email that the famous New Orleans Jazz Fest will be going on as planned for 2006 (last weekend in April and first weekend in May). This is an awesome event, and doesn't just focus on jazz ... it's two weekends of every type of music except classical ... outdoors, on multiple stages.
My guess that this year it will attract major artists. I know The Edge is very committed to raising money for New Orleans musicians who lost their instruments, and INXS mentioned how much they love New Orleans during one of the RS episodes.
I'd LOVE to see LH there!!!
