I created a demo...Please be nice. I am just trying to get my voice. I know that I am no "rock star" , but I wanted to try something different. I am scared, but..... This is the link to the same songs, but the wma (or mp3) version of the songs. The files are compressed, thus sound clarity is not as great as the wav file. The download time is smaller. www.esnips.com/web/starcrossedsingingMP3

Thank you. Yeah, I have had problems holding my breath support. I guess I get nervous recording too. But, then with a 3 year old running around me I tend to rush just to get a clean recording...lol... I will pracitice.

Hi Steph, I'm still waiting in cue to download....it only allows one at a time BTW your sound files are WAV's (Huge)...not MP3 (small) so the downloads take a very long time.

Sorry Steph, the files are so large I can't download any more. Since they are so big, playing them live isn't possible either .............I'll try again later this evening

I just listened to "Shoo"...imho the best of your 3 recordings....Very Cool I think that style suits your voice the best. Kind-of reminds me of the group Portishead...check them out ...You definitely would fit the bill for the LH tribute! Oh, and the new files are easily playable Great Job!

Hey Star I just listened and it took forever to load. I think your best song was the Andrew sisters, the range seemed more comfortable for you . Clouds is a little too deep for you I bet. Are you a soprano?

Hey Star, Great Job! I really dug your Andrew Sisters song. Iwo is right, you sound a bit like Portishead if you Play-up-the-Attitude. I'd like to hear you do this song - Very Cool Stuff www.youtube.com/watch?v=-7ju15I67eo

Portrayed a second soprano nun in Sound of Music...sounded much better.

Second is easier for me too. When I try for first I over think it, and then miss the note completely. I think that is a problem that I have to stop. I tend to think about the notes before I sing them, I think that is why I lose my breath support.
If singing is anything like dancing, then i need to learn just to feel the music and trust myself to just move with the emotions inside me. Like a character released on stage, just to perform in that brief moment.
