I just listened to your songs Star. It is a good thing I got new speakers as I could hear you very clearly. That is so cool that you can record your songs and we can listen to you sing on the computer. I liked all three of them. Keep up the singing.

Star I commend you for being brave enough to put yourself out there. I am too critical of myself as it is. I sing alright and good to some but I couldn't do this. Too chicken. I am my own worst critic. I still say the Andrew sisters is your best work so far. The seemingly most comfortable for you and with a natural flow. Good job!!

Thanks Jilly. I am still looking for my sound...
I wanted to try the Portishead as a challenge to myself. I can't learn if I don't make the effort to try, right? Honestly, I think this might not be the sound for me. The singer has a certain sound that can't be copied.
Still, I tried. All in fun and growth...

Bravo Star for attempting to sing such a non-standard tune! It's sounds very dark, art-sy , and sensuous at the same time. I like how you played around dynamics to make it musically more dramatic background to a simplicity of the lyrics. Great job!

Thank you P12! That song was really hard to do. She has a unique sound...I had fun trying to learn the song. Thank you for encouraging me to try it.

Star, I don't know if you have seen it yet but Christina Aguilera's new song "Candyman" has a 1940's theme.

I have seen it...kind of a 'dirty' version of a 40's song...LOL...I liked the video.

I posted this on the tribute thread, but I decided to post it hear in case it got lost... This is another vocal test. The songs are on mp3 so they are faster to download, but the sound is distorted a bit. The two songs posted are 'Clouds' (second attempt at the song)by Marty Casey and 'Numb' by Linkin Park. www.esnips.com/web/Newvocals
