Ellen In Chicago!!!

I posted this in the Hammerhead thread, but wanted to make sure it is viewed by as many as possible, so....

OK people, now more than ever is the time for our voices to be heard!!! Ellen Degeneres will be live in Chicago on May 3rd. Go here:

and post a comment telling Ellen Degeneres how she just HAS to have Lovehammers on her show if she's in Chicago. I do see that my comment hasn't been posted, but even if they don't actually make it on to there comment board, some one does read them for "approval." SO, get typing people!!!!

(DINO!) , What's Your Favorite Website?, and maybe even What's Bugging You? (gee, I dunno, the fact that Lovehammers STILL have not been on your show?!)

Keep it short & sweet, but try to maybe mention how great they are at giving back (Shoeboxes @ Home; Shoeboxes of Love; Earth Day) and that they deserve some recognition for those efforts (in addition to being one awesome band of musicians).

HOP TO IT PEOPLE!!!!!

I was watching Ellen yesterday when Ellen called the Mayor of Chicago (Daly (?) ). She was asking him for all sorts of things to happen when she arrived.... parade, street name, Key to the City! When she asked for the key the mayor stuttered a bit, asking his secretary how many keys were given out this year ;D ;D The first thing that came to my mind was 'What about a Lovehammer'

This would be very appropriate, running with the rest of all community support you mentioned in your post.

This would really be the responsibility of all Chicago Hammerhead with the rest of us all over the world to support with floating the Office of the Mayor. Anyone know the Mayor email address

How about a proposal/submission presented to Mayor for being part of this Parade your hearing about. Or having Hammerheads meet with the Mayor and call Ellen back, on the show, to have a chat with her showing how excited everyone is that she's coming. Of course have the media with you. ;D ;D ;D ;D

Just a couple of idea, oh ya, and when the hammerhead meet the mayor give him a lovehammer (not the real one) and suggest he give her this instead of the Key to the city.

One more.... develop a Lovehammer martini for Ellen in one of those HUGH fishbowl glass. (pomegranate and vodka - mango piece floating)

I also put in a request. I ended up doing it 2 separate places on the website. I seem to get confused easily lately ;D ;D.

It was a delightful surprise to see all the requests for the band. I bet that her staff looks into it, whether it happens or not everyone is doing a great job. And for those as curious as me, check out who sent in a request. I love that woman!!!!

So let's see if we can get more. Remind your fellow hammerheads to logon and make the request. This is shaping up to be a really positive campaign that has a chance of paying off!!!!

OK,
so I sat for over an hour last night and read all 263 emails to ELLEN and was really moved by how many emails she has received from LOVEHAMMER and MARTY CASEY fans, it is AWESOME

BUT, we need MORE as many as possible and keep them coming. When I got to the one by Marty's mum I almost cried, what a little treasure she is, just want to give her a great big hug

As for the couple of Chitown 'people' who say they have lived there 40 years or all their lives and have never heard of LOVEHAMMERS, they must be living very sheltered lives or they need to get out more! ;D I actually feel sorry for them, they just don't know what they are missing out on and are only showing their ignorance in their own town!

Keep up the emails everyone, I will send in another one today, ELLEN needs to keep them coming and I feel she really can't ignore us if we keep hitting her with what we are doing. We get ELLEN on cable 2 days after you guys in USA here in AUSTRALIA, so it is just as important to us downunder as it is to you guys in the USA.

I just sent a message to Mayor Daley.... Well really it was on the City of Chicago web site.. contact us. I believe it will now go through the channels and end up on the Mayor's secretary's desk and she knows about Ellen coming to Chicago.

Now the waiting begins
