I wanted to share a few things I did the last few weeks because I’m still surprised like many of you that so many know Marty from RS but didn’t know he had a band/CD/Toured last summer ect……………..
** Recently I traveled to Canada and at each rest stop I stopped I put business cards in the restroom or bulletin board. I attended the Ft Eerie show and posted Make Rock Not War posters around the area and wore my shirt. I had someone admire the shirt and asked where I got it. I gave them info where to buy the shirt. They were diehard Marty fans so I gave business cards/org & .com wristbands etc…… made sure I showed them on the business card the LHstore so they can buy a shirt! (again they had no clue marty had a band)
** I went to the Nickelback/Staind/Daughtry concert this past weekend and struck up conversation with they group in front of me (several women and children). They had no idea Marty had a band. I gave them business cards/pens/buttons/matches. Told them to stop by the site and check out the new tour dates/ about the new album this fall/Market days etc……….
This goes to show to never leave home without your supplies!!!!!!!!! Other ideas:
My Space is great tool to spread the word. Post info on your page about the store/dvd/cd etc…… Strike up conversations with fans for other bands and once you establish that you both like same band, have them check out another band you love Lovehammers!
At your local clubs leave business cards/flyers on tables/restrooms. Put matches in plastic cup and ask bartender to hand out.
If anyone else would like to pass along their experiences or ideas too that would be great!
