Got a station link or an idea relating to a radio station or internet webcast?
Contact your station and DJs and let them know that you want to hear the Lovehammers on your airwaves. If the Lovehammers are going to be in your town give the radio stations a heads up and maybe they'll interview the band.
Work on getting "Trees" on your local radio by writing/e-mailing/calling the DJs, program director or music director and let them know about the band. If "Trees" is already on your station's playlist then keep requesting it!
Click Directly on the Station's Name to go their Website!
Quick Links to go to the list of stations in your state or country:

99X[/url] 99X lists their playlist each week, with the option at the bottom of the page to write-in songs you don't see listed for them to hopefully add the next week: Click on 99X Music, then click on Playlist. At the bottom of the page, you can write in Trees
Click "Station" then "Contact/Directions" You'll see a list of all the DJs and their schedules. You can also request a song online by e-mailing whichever DJ is on at the same time or calling Request Line - 404-741-0997

That's what I assumed, too, that all the active rock (and possibly alt rock) stations had already gotten a copy of "Trees".
Do you have any tips to share - like what's the most effective way to get a response from a station? And also who is the best person to talk to at a station? If you could just give us a general idea of what you're doing, because whatever you're doing is working.
Thanks!

No real tips but instead of emailing DJs, I am sending the email to the Program Director and telling him about the release and about RS-INXS and where they are playing near their city. I just keep doing it every day until I hear something. Good Luck guys and keep it up!!!
That is pretty much what I am doing as my radio station no loner accepts requests

I have also found a link to radio stations in different states. Don't smack me but I also think Trees could get airplay on soft rock stations. I just emailed on the Pennsylvania stations and will go from there. There are a lot of stations on here that are not on the list above. Here is the link www.theroadreport.com/radio.html

Thanks for the link.
I agree that "Trees" and the band has the potential to be a complete crossover hit - especially if the video comes out!

Thanks Radioclash for the links. I've been working on ORock in Orlando and haven't gotten any response yet. If anyone is up for it a little help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm sorry we're not playing requests from this band.
I responded with this message:
Ummm....why? It's a new song. It hasn't been out but a couple weeks.
Just curious.
Thanks,
Christi
And they sent this reply:
Too many street team/fan club members are e-mailing us. It's annoying.
We've added the record and we'll see how it does, but when street teams are too aggressive, we tend to stop playing things from that band, so please pass it on.
This was the first time I had *ever* requested at this station! What do we do?

I want to first say thanks to EVERYONE who has been kicking but spreading the love about MCLH (that is the initials I just gave us - LOL). Seeing Tisha and everyone in NY and hanging a bit was really cool. I feel like we got some of the best fans/friends out there.
Ok, so now as Trees begins to get more radio play, I know everyone wants to hear it more and more. The best way to do it is just call in and say, "Can you play Trees by Marty Casey & Lovehammers" that thank them and hang up. There are usually ways to request via e-mail or the stations website as well. Remember, the BEST way to make this work is to be short, sweet, and very polite. Being too wordy or agressive just upsets the DJs - they really don't have any control what is played. Just ask for it, thank them and hang up - that way you can make more calls anyway! KIll them with kindness dudes....
I also heard that people were writing negative stuff about the label and management on here. We are very happy with both, and don't really want that stuff on here. This is a very unique situation, and everyone is trying to figure out how to make this work. We know you guys are just trying to watch our backs, but I work with the Epic people daily, and they have been nothing but great to us - I hate to put limits on these boards, but I won't have that on here dudes, cause that isn't cool, and we dont' feel that way. So keep sending naked pics and doing anything else you want, but lets keep these boards positive. We are in a great position and we want everyone to be happy and help each other - band, label, management, fans, street teams, etc. Together, NOBODY can stop us, but once people start pulling away or causing negativity it affects all other parts of the team.
Ok, my lecture is now over. Just be smart about this dudes. Don't ever give up, don't stop requesting, actually pick it up, BUT be positive!!!!
