What is the Street Team?

The Street Team is a group of fans working together to spread the word (or Spread the LOVE, as we like to say) about Lovehammers.

I want to join the Street Team. What do I do?

First, add yourself to the Street Team map and to the Street Team List. You might just find that there are other Street Teamers in your area who would love to help on Street Teaming missions.

Second, just jump in! Listed below is a list of what you can do to Street Team. There's something for everyone.

What does the Street Team do?

The Street Team promotes the band using many methods:

• Flyers. Flyers can be used to promote upcoming events and just to promote the CD. Check out this thread to find posters you can print out and post.
  
  
• Online. There are lots of things to do online to help the band. Post info about Lh on forums and message boards. Rate the new CD on music sites like iTunes and Amazon. Create your own Lh fan site. Anything you can do to tell more people about Lh.
  
  
• Radio. Request the latest Lovehammers song at your local radio stations. For a list of radio stations in your area, check this thread.
  
  
• Retail. Make sure your local stores have the Lovehammers CD available. When you go into a store that has the CD move it to a prominent place, preferably near the music player. (This is called doing the CD shuffle, btw.) Most importantly, support Lh with your $. Lh CDs make great gifts for any occasion.
  
  
• Word of Mouth. If you love Lh and you're a Hammerhead, it's hard *not* to talk abou them. Keep some Lovehammers business cards on hand to give out to people who seem interested. Check out this thread to find out how to make your own business cards or check this thread to find out where to order some online.
  
  
• Lh Gigs. Make your street teaming presence known to the band and fans when they arrive in any town. Have a group assembled beforehand flyering and passing out flyers, stickers, business cards, and other promotional material. Most larger venues and even most cities/towns have ordinances about what can and can't be posted and where. So call the venue and/or city ordinance offices earlier in the day to see what is allowed.
  
  
• Other music events. Hand out flyers, stickers, and other promotional material to people at the venues of shows you are attending. Major concerts have a ready made audience for new music and bands. Outdoor festivals and your local clubs are also a great place to pass stuff out. Remember to put flyers on cars in the parking lots and also in restrooms.
