Looks like Calgary, AB is interested in LH. It is the top download for albums for the last 3 days! This is so exciting... I have been requesting Trees for play but haven't heard it yet....keep trying!!

Anybody hear Mix it or Nix it on 99.9 in Toronto on Friday night?

Trees was on it! They lost but got a lot of votes.

The one thing I wasn't too pleased about was I hardly heard them say 'Lovehammers' at all. It was all 'Marty Casey's Trees'.

I only heard a bit over the intercom while I was in a store. Anyone else hear this?

Radioclash - thought you might like to know Trees is in medium rotation on The Wolf as of Feb 14th!!! I am trying to spend any spare time hitting the radio stations across Canada. Only problem with this is I don't get a chance to read through the boards as much as I would like.

This is Gail's report from Canadian Street Team on LH.com

Monday May 29th - Street Teaming Calgary INXS show. Busy day....as you well know it takes awhile to pull all the promo material together. We had a great night, very pleased with how it all went.

Glory and I headed downtown to the venue at 3:00 pm and started putting the posters on all telephone posts around the venue. While we were finishing up, a thunderstorm hit us, we quickly made a mad dash to our car. I told Glory after we had hung all the posters, let's just get smart, have some dinner close to AllAboutMarty's hotel and take it from there. It was getting late and we needed to eat so we went to a fabulous Irish Pub and had supper & a large glass of wine. Time was a problem and we still had to go between the venue and then over to the downtown core in rush hour traffic to pick up AllAboutMarty. Phoned the hotel and she was there. I told her if she wanted a ride she had 15 minutes to get downstairs to the lobby!! LOL

As we were really late to arrive and the crowd was so sporadic handing out flyers was very difficult to do. Before the show Glory and I put flyers in the restrooms and inside the stalls. We handed out all the flyers, CDs etc at the end of the night, not before the show.

On the radio in the late afternoon they announced that House of Blues had just called the station and they had tickets for the first 2 rows they were giving away at the last minute!! The place was not sold out so Glory & I decided we would go to the show. I was interested in seeing the difference between a show with Lovehammers and now 4 months later without them. Shockingly bad is all I can say and Scott Stapp was so boring. Of course JD had fallen on stage in Saskatoon on Saturday night and had been taken by ambulance to the hosptial. He was wearing a full leg brace/cast and was hobbling around on stage. The show was very interesting to watch from a business point of view. JD announced at the end that he couldn't believe that there were12,000 people there!! As it turned out the actual figures released this morning was 8,000. Keep in mind this venue holds 20,000+. At the end of the night we got outside and the response to our street teaming was terrific once we got on a roll. The 3 main points were: 1) People bought tickets because they thought Marty would be there so where was he! 2) As soon as we starting yelling (seriously had to be very loud to get people's attention) ...."Anyone interested in what Marty Casey is doing" people stopped and wanted to know! They got a flyer first which Glory and AllAboutMarty had and then they would next tell them to get the free CD sampler from me. I spent more one on one time with them and they were terribly interested. 3) No one, not one person knew they had a CD out. Very excited to go and buy it! Many said Marty was their favourite on RS and they were cheering for him yet they were at the INXS concert. Of course they did think Marty was going to be there. I can't stress enough how important these INXS concerts are! I do hope USA street teaming will be done down the west coastline as INXS does have a lot of dates coming up. I believe this is a really big street teaming opportunity that we should take advantage of and the reception towards us was excellent. People thought that it was great that we were helping Marty & LH. I had one guy tell me he knew Marty and thought we were doing a fabulous job so I told him to make sure and tell Marty that!! I don't know who he was but maybe someone from Mark Burnett's camp as there were a lot of limos outside coming and going but not for the band, they left later as we were finishing up. Another lady asked if she could have 1/2 dozen CDs and a stack of flyers as she knew lots of fans who would love them. One surprise was how many males were very interested and so enthusiastic. Anyway I'm going on and on! If anything we were really disappointed when the crowd was gone as we could have kept going for another couple of hours. I wish I had more time to get turned around as I would love to have been able to get up to Edmonton for tonight but too difficult this late in planning. Fortunately we are lucky to have CanadaFan who will be street teaming tonight at the Edmonton show!!

Thanks everyone for your support. I really had a great time. Once you get out there with that many people you do feel like you are helping the guys. These INXS shows are terrific for street teaming to get exposure for the Lovehammers!!
