HOT Dallas Night!!! It was HOT in Texas last night and I'm not just talking about the temperature being in the high 90s!!! The LA GUNS were on fire! Everything was perfect and I mean better than PERFECT!!! The band's energy and dedication to their music was awesome. Marty has taken his command of the stage to a whole new level...he was that gorgeous combination of rock and theatre. Tracii...and I know he is a great guitarist but LIVE he is unbelievable to experience. Chad, Jeremy and Alec had such energy and solid peformances. And I just loved Jeremy singing STFU. The dynamics of the set list was brilliant!!! And speaking of the set list: No Mercy Sex Action Fire It Up One More Reason This Town WYWH Ballad of Jayne You Can't Always Get What You Want STFU Electric Gypsy Trees Never Enough Rip & Tear This fan's favorite, which I wasn't expecting was their closing number 'Rip & Tear'. Overall thoughts...the sound was more than excellent, the beautiful LA Guns backdrop appearing before their entrance was exciting, the lighting of the stage located outdoors on the water and performed in front of a crowd of 600 enthusiastic fans. WOW my first LA GUNS show!!! And even though they burst from the stage at around 12:45 and peformed for over an hour I could have easily sat through a repeat of the complete set. Oh, lucky me...I get to see this with my sister Gail again tomorrow night in HOUSTON!!!  |
