I haven't posted in a couple years --- just been BUSY with Work --- and almost feel like I need to give my proper introductions again! hah! Say Hi to old friends and reassure the new that I am a BIG fan of all things Lovehammers and all things MXC. Our in-person experiences have included the INXS/Lovehammer show in Vegas right after the TV Show finished up and we also went on the fabulously fun Hammercruise last May...flew to Kentucky from San Diego for it. We had a ball, it was fun seeing some of your familiar faces there too. We've just really enjoyed following the band and rooting for them to get as much exposure as possible. Now I am rooting for Marty in all his personal endeavors and career choices. I also hope Dino, Bobby and Billy all have much success in their careers too. We EXCITEDLY bought tix (through TicketMaster) to see LA Guns in Hollywood this tour. I have the tickets printed out and sitting right here in front of me on my desk...I've had them for over a month and I have been so looking forward to going!!! We were going to rent a vacation home in West Hollywood for the week and make a big deal out of the trip...enjoying all the sights in L.A. as well as the concert. The Key Club is a SUPERB VENUE....top notch, small, intimate, first class. We saw The Panic Channel there years back. AWESOME. BUT. NOW. WE. CAN'T. GO!!!! !!!!! We just found out that my husband needs knee replacement surgery and it's scheduled for the Thursday before the concert and he will still be in the hospital the weekend of the 24th. Of course, he is bummed about the surgery -- but he is also disappointed that we won't make our trip to LA and to see Marty with The Guns. To make us feel better, we want to give away our 2 tickets to the show to 2 people who CAN make it and who are CRAZY ABOUT MARTY and will enjoy the opportunity. So, please email us at: 2MartyHollywoodTix@gmail.com And let us know if you would like the tix. I can mail them to you. The only requirement for eligibility is that you come back here and post a thorough review - if at all possible - and it is a "no recording/no photography" venue...but I know some of you are sneaky, clever little devils. Most importantly, if you can nab a big hug for me... after Marty has his shirt off and is nice and sweaty... lol Peace and Best to All ! Party On! Michelle P.S. I might ask Marty, in the Ask Marty section, if they can play "over the edge" by LA Guns at the Hollywood show in honor of my husband & his tweaked knee...hahah...his original injury came from a surfing accident and that is our favorite song of theirs, loved the movie Point Break...."Vaya Con Dios" ;D

Everyone else going, have a blast!!
P.S. Hope Marty's head is feeling better! Ouch!

Yep - got tickets in hand and am ready to go!
Last nights show was amazing - can't wait for more.
BTW
Marty and Traci had a good laugh when Traci spun his guitar around and covered the end with his hand. That must have been the move that took out Marty 's head in PA

You won't regret it. Going to two shows was definitely a huge plus for me just because with one show, you sort of spend at least a little bit of time getting used to the new scene. But for the second show, you're over that a bit and you're ready to just see the show. For me, and my 4 friends, the second show was really incredible. (Course a venue with a good sound system helps too ) Have a great time!

The show was great last night I had never been to the Key Club before, so I wanted to just stand in the regular audience area rather than the VIP sections at the sides. But, I saw some happy faces that I know in those areas and they looked as if they were having a blast! This venue was a lot larger in size than the first one... but, it still made for one kicking show. The audience seemed in awe of our Mr.Casey... At this point I need to say that if the tour comes near anyone's area that hasn't seen LA Guns play... YOU HAVE TO GO!!!! It was an awesome show... and Marty is still giving his all on that stage. That is a gift to watch in itself!

I haven't posted in a long time but I just wanted to pop in and say that LA Guns Sunday night's show was great. For them, I like the slightly bigger venue with the sound system designed to handle them. Where I was standing in Hermosa on Friday night, the sound was too big for the room so things were getting distorted. (Hermosa was still a great show but I enjoyed Sunday more because I am a sound snob!) Both nights I brought people with me who had never seen Marty perform and now he has 4 new fans! (As though there was any doubt he'd win them over.) My friend Karen posted about her experience at our blog: www.wheresmydamnanswer.com and she posted a Marty video on it without me prompting. (I have been trying to get her to a Marty show since 2006! I finally succeeded yeah!) Marty had to have been exhausted from doing 17 shows in a row but you'd never know it from the performance he gave. I'm glad he has a little time off to recuperate before heading off to South America. I love how they have made Trees their own--especially the little reggae interlude in the middle. You would not know that this band as formed has only been playing together for a couple months. They sound so good together. Tracii is amazing to watch and quite funny too. He asked the crowd--how many of you are as old as I am? Many of us nodded or raised our hands. You looked at the audience and said, "You are old!" Just made me laugh! And here's the thing--I am so not a fan of this genre of music in general. I found sitting through the opening bands rather painful but it was all worth it when LA Guns came out. ( I know some of you thought all the bands were great--that's cool. Music is personal and it either touches you or it doesn't.) I'm so glad I decided to do both shows and now I definitely am feeling a Coach House trip coming on. xoxo CJ PS we were standing next to some long time LA GUNS fans and they gave Marty the thumbs up. (Not that there was a doubt but it is cool to see how quickly he has been welcomed into the fold!)

I, too, went to this show. It was a great little club with cameras all around showing the band on a huge screen above the stage. Of course, LA Guns, put on another great show but not a real long set . I didn't take pictures this time but there were alot of photogs there that I'm sure will provide you with some great shots . I did however, take alot of video and will put those up tomorrow.
