Sorry I lost all of our great tour discussion here. But as I remember several of us were seriously contemplating this show.

I think we were trying to plan a hillbilly concert gathering group. Amy, Cindy, rockfan, Ceeje and Sparkletay.

It's not that far from me so I'll probably go. Somebody had posted the link to the bar's Myspace and their photos look like it's a construction zone. I wonder if there are tickets or if you just pay at the door. So who else is excited about Faster Pussycat? Oh yeah, when I was like 4...I totally ditched kindergarten to go out and get their album. True story. And who else is playing? Bang Disco? Mama's Lil' Hellions? I have no idea...BTW if I had a hair metal band I would name it Shark Attack 3. Why? Because it would be AWESOME. So anyway...I hope this bar gets it together before this party because I do not want to have to sand floors and paint trim for my beer.

Hey rockfan -- can you please repost the list of hotels that you found in the area? Thanks!

Here ya go. I would suggest going to each hotel's main website for current rates/availability. They were all pretty reasonable. When I find more, I'll post them. Best Western Hotel & Conference Center 2406 N. Roan St. Johnson City, TN nothing available Holiday Inn - Johnson City 101 W. Springbrook Dr. Red Roof Inn 210 Broyles Dr. Comfort Suites 3118 Browns Mill Rd. Double Tree 211 Mockingbird Ln Hampton Inn 508 N. State of Franklin Rd. Ramada Limited 2606 N. Roan St.

This is the closest show to me. I just have to make my family chill, tell my husband to deal, and get up there without getting lost. lol
It would really be fun to meet up with everyone.

I'll be checking on hotels this week and let you know what I find. RF has already provided some great info.

I just did a quick search of Expedia and found this: Days Inn1 mile from the club 1 King = $59/night ($67.56 including taxes) 2 Doubles = $59/night ($67.56 including taxes) Free continental breakfast, free wireless internet, outdoor pool www.daysinn.com/DaysInn/control/Booking/property_info?propertyId=04490&brandInfo=DIThat price would make up for the cost of gas driving up there. mta: There are other places that are a little cheaper, but they're cheaper.

I think the Doubletree is actually the closest, but most of them really aren't that far away. The Hampton Inn is close too but off in another direction from the rest. I always use www.kayak.com/hotels for searching. It shows prices from the hotel's site and the discount sites, and you can set it to view what's closest to the venue's address.

That's a great site! I love the map feature. The Comfort Inn is another good choice. It's about a mile south of the club and it's around $83/night. The kayak site says they don't have internet access, but the Comfort Inn site says they do.

Wireless high speed internet is a must. I am fine with whatever ya'll want to do. I like Doubletree Inn a lot. They are usually very nice and clean and a bit more upscale than say a days inn or comfort inn. But if we want to save $$ that is cool too as long as the room is clean and has I-net access, I can do. Afterall, it is just one night right... and we won't be at the hotel much...how bad could it be. Someone make a decision and then we can all book our rooms.

I just went with the Doubletree.... I wish it was as cheap as the others but rooms with the door opening to the outside scare me. It's really close to everything so we shouldn't have a problem finding each other if y'all are somewhere else. Any word on the venue? Do they have walls?
