Anyone caught the song Warwick Avenue from Duffy?? How about Mercy or Rockferry?? She is Welsh, I believe. She sounds real good! Cool Voice. I wouldn't call her a rocker- but she is fun to sing along with. She changes ranges, or pitches- (not up on my singing jargon)so it is fun.  |

She's played quite a bit on the radio here. She's being called the new Dusty Springfield. I prefer Warwick Avenue personally - I always like songs that tell a story.

Mercy if fun too. We had a little group over at my dads last sunday and he had on - in the back ground- "his music". Hank senior, hank jr, fabulous thunderbirds, ummmmmmmmm- oh- The Tractors, Georgia Satilites... You get the picture. So every now and again i try to get him to listen to something a little more current. I figure it is pay back for all the nights we had to listen to the entire catalog of Hank Sr!!!(your cheatin' heart,Moanin' the blues,Hey- good lookin') So i got my Duffy CD and played him Mercy. He liked it. WOW! He liked the back beat he said.
or he was just screwing with me???who knows. LOL
