I'll have to blindfold them on the way. The area is an Adult Entertainment Mecca of sorts.

For the record, my comment to GE was JUST A JOKE. But for my own personal thought, I would take my 17 year old son to a show. He is mature enough and wouldn't hear or see anything different than what is going on now everywhere else. But, he would NOT go, even if I paid him, lol. He would be too embarrassed to be seen with his mom ;D.

I knew it was a joke. That's why I was joking around too.
I think your son is like most 17 year-olds. There's no one more embarrassing to most teenagers than their mothers. They usually outgrow that, though. He'll probablly think you're a cool mum by the time he's in his 20s. I stopped being embarrassed by my mother when I was 18... I still think she's loopy, but I love her and am not embarrassed by her.

My mom took my younger brother and me to a KISS concert when I was 15. She nearly passed out from the shock, but she was a real trooper! LA Guns are pretty tame compared to the spectacle that was KISS. Now THAT'S a cool mom!!!!! I miss her so much. She had us "later in life", and she always said we kept her young. I think it was really her indomitable spirit and love of life that did it. Thanks, Mom, for showing me how to live life on one's own terms. I love you so!
