BTW, I've read another review that other LH fan has sent me and it was totally different... in this case, she enjoyed a lot the show... Is this other review private? I would love to read it.

OK, I guess I'll be the first. And I intend to be honest about what I thought. Though there will probably be some disagreement among those of us there, I know some liked it. I was not blown away (pun intended) LOL. First impressions - they need a new sound guy! The band was sooooo loud that they overpowered Marty. I admit, I was right up front taking pics, but I had a real hard time understanding him, and even my husband, who was in the back, said he couldn't understand anything except the songs he knew (which amounted to maybe 3 songs). The only time I could really hear Marty was when he went acoustic by himself and did Wish You Were Here. And my husband thought that one was bad because the audience in the back was making so much noise that he couldn't really hear it well. Now, maybe that's the way the band wanted it. The other 3 bands were also very loud (for a very small venue). So maybe it's just the way metal/hard rock is done. I don't like it that way. Thanks for the review and the pics! For your information guys, the band is not responsible of the sound in a club. It is the sound technician of the club who set it up. As per what I know, they all were unhappy with the club's sound tech's job but it sometimes happens and they can't do anything... BTW, I've read another review that other LH fan has sent me and it was totally different... in this case, she enjoyed a lot the show... I believe you misread this post. HY was saying she enjoyed the show, just not into that type of hard music. She loved it, reread it. OF COURSE, there are even different views from a Beatles show, or a Willie Nelson show, it's called honesty, and what came from her heart, absolutely nothing to do with "disliking" the show, just the music of the evening, she's hoping it will improve. Nancy

The party may still be going on. Should somebody check to make sure those girls aren't trying to stow away and go to Puerto Rico with the Marty? Let's see, a beautiful house exclusive for the band with private beach, free drinks and food for a whole week... no, that's not a bad deal In my opinion, with all this free stuff and cool thangs, hiring a sound guy to accompany them would be a good career move for the music, but once again, it's ONLY my opinion, or thought on that matter. Never been to a show with bad sound, I guess I'm picky as to what I support. I'm a weird cookie like that. Just for an example, Dan did an EXCELLENT and very loyal job for the Lovehammers when they were out and about, so once again, Marty would know these kinda things as well. He even took Dan with him on his solo spots, that I hear were most awesome and almost a magical time to spend with the Marty dude. great pictures, thanks for sharing!!!!

Envy envy HY I wish I could have gone. I bet they are going to have a blast in PR!!I am sure those lil dive experiences will get better and better as they work the kinks out.!It made me smile to know Marty was having a good time and happy to see a familiar face.. I like the pic you posted of him in the beater. I read some of the comments on their(Marty's and the bands) myspaces last night and it seems some had a ROCKING good time. Again HY thanks for the review. I appreciate it Jill

Nancy I read the review as well....nowhere in it did she say she LOVED the show.... I think this is just a new experience for all LH fans and its going to take some time for most to be ok with it. Its definitely a different sound than what most LH fans are used to hearing. I'm sure with it being their FIRST show there are alot of kinks to be worked out, including the sound..... I still think it was a great first review, whether or not she loved the show...she at least gave Marty some support.....

She's one of many Hammerheads as you say that appreciate and love all different kinds of music.....I'll hush it now, just wanted to say I agree with ya as well- that was not in the post, but once again- great review....it was honest. Nancy P.S. I'm glad all had a great time

Thanks for the review and pics, HY.
As for the sound issues, the smaller the venue size, the louder the sound. That's why I always bring my ear plugs, lol.

Thanks guys, I'll try to bring more pics by later. And RF, I did have earplugs. Jilly, I would be interested in seeing other reviews - but I could only find Wendy's comment. Am I missing some other reviews? Tamisha, I would be interested in reading another review too - I always try to get other perspectives - I am coming from 3 years of loving a band that may not (though I hoping the opposite) play together again. Nancy, I know what you were trying to say - thank you.

I went to the show. I have not posted on the board in quite some time and I am not even sure where to begin with a review. I guess that I will start by saying that I was pleasantly surprised. I will always love Lovehammers and hope that one day I will get to see them perform together again. Until that day, I will support the decisions of each band member...in whatever direction they decide to take their careers. It did feel kind of strange to me to see Marty on stage with a different group of guys. If Lovehammers decide to bring in a new singer, that will feel strange to me as well. However, I will support Lh if they choose to go in that direction. I will show my support by going to their shows just as I showed my support to Marty by going to see him with LAG. I won't choose sides or pass judgment on any of them for their choices or changes that they decide to make. I did not even ask Marty about his 'decision'. I was just there to show support and have a nice time hanging out with my friends. I was initially going to go to Milwaukee for Summerfest to get together with friends for the weekend. We recently decided to change our plans and head to Green Bay to check out LAG instead. I am glad that we did. Marty seemed genuinely happy to see familiar faces. We sat around and chatted and had a fun time before the show. He did not seem anxious or stressed or anything like that. To me, Marty just seemed very relaxed and at the same time very excited about the GB show and the shows to come. He thanked us, more than once, for coming out to Green Bay. I think that there were only about a dozen people there that I had met before. That total includes Marty and Jeremy. lol (Maybe HY took that first pic of him during the time that a girl in the crowd kept trying to jump onto the stage to steal Tracii's guitar picks in the middle of the show. lol) The venue was not very big. The sound was. It was very loud and it really was kind of hard to hear Marty's vocals on some songs. I did not bring ear plugs and my ears are still ringing. My voice is still gone, too. But other than the low volume of Marty's mic, I thought that it was a really good performance. The crowd was a pretty good size, and everyone seemed to like the show. I know that I did. I won't compare LAG to Lh...they are two entirely different sounds. I won't compare drummer to drummer, bass player to bass player, guitarist to guitarist, and so on. Each artist has his own style and sound. I'm just there to take in the music. I do not know the words to most LAG songs and even though I could not sing along, the show was much more enjoyable than I had anticipated. I guess I was not exactly sure what to expect. Tracii is amazing to watch. That man can play. To be honest, I really don't recall him having to restart Trees four times. To be even more honest, the bar is called Doubles. In the words of my new favorite bartender, Carrie, "It's called Doubles for a reason". Heeeheeee! But back to the show... I thought that the band played well together. It was the first show and despite the sound issue, I thought that they did a great job. The few Lh songs that they played had a different sound and vibe to them which was cool to hear. I, too, thought Jeremy did a great job on STFU. Loved it! Believe it or not, I took no pictures. Zip, nada, zilch. I know--right?! But really, there is no need when you are attending the same show as Nancy and Lyn. lol It was nice to see them both again(as well as their hubbies), and Yak & Jo, too. I am not going to say that LAG is my new 'favorite band', but I really liked the show a lot and I would definitely go see them again.

Thank you to both HY and Angie for posting your reviews. It is always a pleasure to read what the different experiences are. It is almost like being there.
Special tip of the hat to HY for posting the first review. We really appreciate getting to read the reviews and anxiously await the first one.
Angie, I really really appreciate you taking the time to come here and post. You don't visit these parts much and it was GREAT to see you back over here. Please come back often.

Angie, that is a marvelous review! It basically says everything and I can't add much to it.
I went with no expectations and came away pleasantly surprised. I thought Marty seemed very at ease on stage and was totally himself. They all seemed to play well together and I'm sure the kinks will get smoothed out.
I was standing next to the woman that kept jumping on stage trying to get Tracii's picks (while he was still using them) and pose for pictures...it was very strange.
I only knew a few of the songs (was surprised that I did lol) but I had a great time rocking out. It was nice to see some familiar faces (Jo, Yak, Nancy, Lyn) and meet lots of new ones.

Thanks Stephd for popping on and sharing your review! LOL. Not much of a review on my part as Angie pretty much covered everything I wanted to say! I do have some pics, though... Will try to get a couple of them up soon. I had a very difficult time making it home (flight delays and hangovers)...
