I was on vacation in Myrtle Beach when Marty did this performance. We all raced back to the hotel to watch RS:INXS. When we heard that Marty had to sing Hit Me Baby, our reaction was similar to Marty's shriek of horror when he found out what his song was. As soon as the music started we knew Marty was going to pull it off and don't you know he did! That evening was so hard not being able to vote. After the next evening and we knew he was safe from elimination, it was so hard not having internet access and not being able to see the perfomance again until we got home. We got home at 3am, but what do you think was the first thing I did once the kiddos were safely tucked in their beds?  |

I couldn't believe that anyone could make that a credible song, bur he did!!!! I just loved it when he turned his head to the side with that awesome profile and put his chin up with that half smile. But my very, very fav part was when they took a candid of JD while Marty was singing. JS was frowning and looked a little worried.  . My first thought that he was going to win was the first song that he stood still and just sang into the camera. It stopped me dead in my tracks. His heart and soul came out loud and clear. What an amazing mezmerizing thing to watch. I will have to go back and see which song it was. It has been a while. |

I totally agree Rachael....have you ever heard the original version of MR. Brightside?? I thought it was horrible....Marty definitely made me a fan of that song. And the way he sings CREEP....sends chills up and down my spine.....
