I've seen a video of the performance of Trees when you all were in Puerto Rico. I'm really loving this higher octane version! What was Tracii's impression of the song when you presented it to him and what was the inspiration (and collaboration like) to kick it up a few notches?

We discussed doing Trees and Tracii and Chad had to listen and learn it. Jeremy allready knew it and Big Al knows how to play every Lovehammers song on MC&LH. Then we simply jammed it out two or three times when we had a break in the recording studio. There was no discussion on how it should sound or what we should do. Everyone just jammed it and that's how it turned out. How cool is that. We did change up the arrangement quite a bit and added more parts (soloing) and extended some transition parts.
I'm really psyched that "Trees" keeps being reborn with new interpretations of it. The LA Guns fans really give the song a great response. Many people see a guy up there singing LA Guns tunes and don't figure out that's it's the guy from Rockstar: INXS till I sing "Trees". Then they put 2 and 2 together. "Hey that's the guy from Rockstar singing with Tracii" It's really fun.
