Here's my review of the night! If you want to see Marty RAMPED UP, even beyond what you've seen before, see him with the GUNS! WOWWWWWWWWWWW
---
We found actual bar stools to perch on, which was nice for K and Henry, being the recuperators they are~ we stayed there all night.
The first band had two hot guys in it (but they knew they were hot) and all their stuff sounded the same and they need to learn to MOVE around a bit). The one singer guy was mesmerized watching Marty...he could learn a lot from that! LOL
Bang Tango...I agree with Tinley, Axl Rose impersonation. But Highway to Hell was fun.
NEXT---the BIG MOMENT! I saw Tracii out there getting started, then MARTY was there ~ all big hat, zipper pants, vested Marty. They came out with a song called OVER THE EDGE, and it was BIG and TIGHT and they instantly went from 0 to 60. It never ebbed in intensity, ENERGY, and PURE rock. The Hammerheads went WILD for This Town, which they TORE UP! I lost my voice screaming at that one. Marty was ON FIRE. I personally haven't seen him like that since my first show in Philly, but even then this show was levels above that. I had no idea there was an even bigger Marty presence waiting to come out. Amazing!!! I really loved the music, not one song was a clunker. But it sounded modern and up to date, not stale 80s crap. Their musicianship brought all up to a high level. I am now a GUNNER, no reservations.~
When they were done, I was yelling, "Don't go away...."
It was hot in there so we went into the lobby, and I got to say hello to Marty. He looked in my eyes and said "Did you have a good time?" I blubbered "Oh yes, you look so happy and commited and it was great.." and his eyes glazed over....typical fangirl....LOL I had asked the girls to please make sure I got a pic with him since I don't have one, and three people took the picture. I got to squeeze him tight around the waist, and that was worth the whole trip...LOL...
We hung in the bar, and at one point Tracii Guns came over and said hi. I said to him quietly "You were great...just GREAT" and he smiled big. I said something like thanks for taking care of Marty, and I heard him saying that he needed Marty right now and Marty needed him, to get to the next level. Hopefully Tracii can get Marty noticed by the right people to keep him doing this forever
We got home around 2, and it was hard to sleep with all that happened in my mind....
