I really really really hate to post this, but because of the costs involved in running this site, particularly when it comes to audio and video plays that I have to pay for every time a media file is accessed, I respectfully request that no message board or web site post direct links to the video or audio files on MartyCasey.org so as to suck up all the bandwidth without at least referring the visitor. Please DO encourage people to watch the videos or listen to the audio files, but do it in a way that allows the site to thrive. We appreciate all outside links to this Web site. If you would like to link to this site, please do so by linking to www.MartyCasey.org Please do not directly link to any video or audio file on this site. That puts unnecessary demands on our server and is considered discourteous and unprofessional. I will not name names at this time, because I believe the guilty parties know who they are....but I am asking very very politely to PLEASE show the site some respect by linking to the page that has the video or audio file and not directly to the file so as to run up the already very very high costs of running this web site. Thank you for your cooperation. Cindy Klauss Webmaster@MartyCasey.org Modfied to add this: Several people have asked what is bandwidth and not knowing if they are quilty of this are not. Here is a link to learn about bandwidth theft www.tipz.net/Bandwidth.htmBut I am not talking about images or pictures as much as I am about Video clips or Audio Clips.

I have just discovered that we have this problem again. The recent interview we posted from WMMR that Teri so generously shared is getting hit directly from a message board that I will not name. If people want to listen to this, they need to come over to MartyCasey.org to listen. We are paying for everytime someone plays it, so I don't think it is unreasonable to request that we should at least get the visitor to the site to play it.
Boo hiss on people who post these links directly and not the link to the page of our site that has the clip. If this continues, I will be unable to post audio interviews on the site because it is expensive. I don't mind paying for our site visitors to listen to them. But I sure don't think I should have to pay for OTHER message boards to play them.

Hello...
Time to post this reminder again. PLEASE DO NOT LINK directly to the streaming audio and video files on the site. That is bandwidth theft, plain and simple. I sure don't mind everyone listening to radio interviews, but please come to the site to do that.
Any links currently doing this will get a warning graphic when clicked on. Please notice the message boards/sites doing this. They are bandwidth thieves.
Thanks!
P.S. This is the second warning for a specific message board. If they do it again, I will post the name of the board and the person who posted the link.
