I don't know how else to describe last night. A real review will have to come later when my two kids aren't screaming in the background. For now all I can say is they were wonderful!!!!! I was close enough that he was sweating on me. Marty gave me his guitar pick after Wish You Were Here, grabbed my hand and held it on his leg during Trees-which was a much harder version and I loved it ! We talked for a few minutes after the show. I got wonderful hugs and a kiss. I still can't think straight ! I have some incredible pictures. When my head stops spinning & my ears stop ringing I will try to figure out how to post them.

I was there last night, too, and can agree that Marty - and the L.A.Guns were indeed AMAZING! Marty's energy was off the charts! Some idiots at the bar were shouting out for Phil. My boyfriend & I shouted out for Marty. Marty shot the guys some intense stares, then flipped the guys off. It just fired him up in his performance even more! Even though it was a small crowd, Marty (and the Guns) rocked the house! It was great to see such cohesiveness in such a short time of performing. You could see and feel that everyone in the band got along and that they really came together as a unit to perform. The L.A.Guns are phenomenal musicians and Marty is steller as lead singer/songwriter. I wish you guys all the best!

Sorry I have taken so long to post my review. I thought I would be able to write coherently by now, but I’m not sure. My head is still in the clouds from Friday night. I saw Lovehammers twice in 2006 and missed meeting Marty both times. I was determined this time it was going to be different, but I’m still shocked at how perfect the night was. My husband took off work early –great man- so I could drive to CT to my friend’s house, have dinner with her & then drag her to the show. We arrive at 8 & the place is very, very dead. The first band, Dogs of the Divine were pretty good. As soon as they finished playing we headed over to claim our place for LA Guns. We met two ladies that were very nice & had the same idea-find a good Marty spot and not move. The stage was small, the crowd not what they deserved-but in to it. I can't comment much about the sound quality or the order of the songs because from the minute they came on stage my mind turned in to oatmeal. Marty looked amazing, which is nothing new, but I was disappointed that I wasn't right in front of him like I hoped. One of the ladies we were chatting with had gotten the better spot but after about 5 minutes-after Marty grabbed her hand- she stepped back, grabbed me and shoved me up in to her spot. Obviously she must have figured out from our conversation that I was perhaps a bit more insane over him then she is. All I can say is- BLESS HER !!!! I couldn't have been in a more perfect place. I got lots of eye contact with Marty & Jeremy both. I was reluctant at first, but I finally reached out and touched Marty's leg at one point-very tentatively because I didn't want to be grabby, but after a while I just couldn't help it, it was right there in front of me !! It wasn't too long after that he grabbed my hand and held it on his leg while he sang. When he switched it to the other leg I gave him a squeeze- Another time he leaned way down and his beautiful, sweaty hair was in my face. That was a WOW moment. Very, very brief, but WOW. My friend snapped all 177 pictures. I couldn't have been trusted to operate machinery. It is so hard to believe that Marty just joined LA Guns. He seemed to fit in so perfectly and they all were incredible & having a blast-and their enjoyment and their energy was infectious. However, there were times I realized I wasn't even moving to the music, just standing there staring up at him-most likely with a big, goofy smile on my face. I don't know how long they played, 30 min, 45 min-no clue. All I know was it was over way too soon. After they left the stage & I was able to make my wobbly knees walk, we went to buy t-shirts. I got mine, went up to get a coke and guess who comes out ? When he walked right by me I stepped in front of him and he grabbed my arm and said something like - "There you are"...most likely remembering me because I was right in front of him with that big goofy smile on my face for 45 minutes!!! Anyway, to speed things up. I get my friend, she takes my picture with Marty & the three of us stand and chat for a while. My well-intentioned, blabbermouth friend keeps whispering in his ear about how I'm nuts about him & god only knows what else. Mr. Casey being the sweetheart that he is apparently took it in stride. He kept rubbing my arm when we were talking, obviously knowing he was making my night -and making it very hard to put more than two words together. Then she proceeds to tell him about a book I'm writing, and that the main character looks a lot like him-which is totally true but totally caught me off guard and completely embarrassed me. Marty however was all in to it and kept insisting I send it to him to read. I was about in a puddle on the floor at this point. We talked for few minutes. He told me I reminded him of his siter Liz, I got a nice hug then he went off to chat with other fans. A little bit later when we were leaving my friend insisted that we find Marty to say goodbye. I was reluctant because he was talking to other fans, but he saw us and graciously gave us a few more minutes. He reminded me to send him my book and seemed genuinely interested, saying how cool he though it would be if there was any semblance of him at all in the character. I got a phenomenal hug that seemed to go on forever, a kiss, and as I left he told me "Stay beautiful." My friend had to about carry me out of there ! God what a sweet man he is to find a way to make every fan feel special. The concert was amazing. LA Guns as a band was incredible. Marty was...Marty. And I had the time of my life.

Thanks !I still can't believe it. I have been looking at pics & reading about everyone meeting Marty & wondering if I was going to actually get the chance myself. And it was more than I had hoped. I really have to thank my husband though-he is such a good sport. I got to hang out with a good friend, have 6 too many beers, act like a teenager for a few hours, stay out half the night, meet the incredible man I've been crushing on for 3 years-and I didn't even have to go home afterwards. I went back to my friends house, drooled over the pictures we were downloading, got pizza at 2 in the morning, slept 3 hrs then got up & drove home. It was great. I haven't done anything close to this in many years. And to think I almost didn't go.

Rusalka! Thanks so much for your review. There was a lot in there I could relate to, like "crushing on for three years" ... And the fan who pushed you to the front! That's, well, phenomenal ... Thanks for getting the review and photos up. Glad you had a time!
