Hi there, Marty fans! I took my 12 year old daughter and my 20 year old neice to the concert in Redding, we drove the 3 hrs to get there, got ready at the motel 6 then off to the concert, hated the first band full of screaming and nothing at all to look at. LOL
Then LA Guns came on, Marty looked awesome as always, did all his regular moves, but I felt unfulfilled for some reason, and I know I may be bashed for my honest feelings here, oh well. the sound was not good, the place was only about a quarter filled up and with a lot of leather and studded wearing old looking rockers from the 80's, I really missed having only hammer fans there, I did have two that I really love although, Linda and Desarae which also felt the same as I, I was most frustrated by not really being able to hear Marty's voice, it was drowned out by the loud guitar playing, which is good but not what I came for. I need for Marty to shine and be heard loud and clear. the songs of LA Guns were not what he should be singing, they did play one or two of his although. I am keeping an open mind about the new cd to be released later, cause Marty himself told me i need to be. We all met him out in the lobby after his set, and he was so wonderful to the fans, he talked to me and my family and Des and her husband and Linda for about an hour just answering all our questions and stuff, it was amazing to spend that time with him just to ourselves. that when I got brave or stupid and told him we want to hear more of him and less of that guitar, he got a little irritated with me for it and said to keep an open mind and that the new cd was the best he has ever done, gosh dang I hope I love it after that conversation. then Des told him to stop smoking and he said he already had one mom, too funny, we were being the moms we are with him and he was not having it too well. we have pics, linda is going to put them on here for me, since I am too stupid to figure it out right now. I hope no body gets too mad at me for this and knows that I love Marty more than words can say, and just the absolute best for him, I will always be his loyal fan and follow him anywhere within reason. LOL we joined up with Linda at Denny's for breakfast after the show and got to know each other better, hammer fans are still the best fans out there, and I am pretty sure Marty could see this at this show!
