Am I the only one that Think The Jonas Brothers SUCK!!?? I have a secret belief that they are the reincarnation of the devil, and are out to control our children, with mass marketing, and flowy girl hair.... with Miley Cyrus as the demon following.. Auhahhah I can take it, like eerywhere you go, there they are, they ruined Target for me with that addictive Theme song!! Just wonderin' you guys can vent here as well!!

LOL! Tell us what you really think... I can see where you're coming from. They seem to be everywhere but I can't knock any teenage boys who wear promise rings. I just hope it's not the same ring Britney Spears wore.

I don't consider them to be musicians. They are a Disney product. I'm thankful my daughter doesn't listen to them and has finally come to understand that Miley Cyrus is a brat who can't sing.

LOL... I can't say anything negative about these kids, since my five year old likes them and a few other people that I know (including some of our younger fans here on this board). For me, honestly there are worse musical influences in the world for our children to listen to music from. They seem to be grounded by their parents and faith, so I give them credit for that. Besides... they are a kids pop band It's just about them having fun, doing their own thing, and making music. The marketing thing... well doesn't that come along in the industry itself and with the label that they work with? I don't think they have much say in anything that they do, since contracts dictate almost everything in some way or form, right? They just have to follow what they are told if they want to keep their job with that company. And, Disney is Disney... they market 'well' too say the least. That's just business...everyone wants to make a buck... in their case more that a few bucks...lol I don't buy the products or merch... but, then that is my choice as a parent. To each is their own. I say rock on Jonas Brothers....

I'm not a fan of these young guys .... but must acknowledge these boys can sing. There is a reason each generation has its "bubblegum pop" with its catchy melodies, simple rhythms & harmonies, danceable beats and repetitive riffs or "hooks".... it sells. As a classical musician, I could level similar criticisms on nearly everything on the radio nowadays. I'd wish "serious music" was taken .... well .... more seriously and parents signed their kids up for music classes. Even Rock & Pop musicians could benefit from learning compositions larger than 3 chords. Additionally, a Classically Trained child in music would be introduced to the best harmonies ever written like works of J.S. Bach etc. ... I guarantee they would never listen at the catchy pop the same again!

Still think they are great kids... and they are caring human beings. Happen to know that for a fact, since I have family that works with them and when he was ill they helped him get the care he needed, sent flowers, and made sure he had a full recovery. So, in my book they are wonderful

I have to agree with Star on this one. I am not a fan of pop music, haven't been since I was 10 but my nieces love these kids and I have to say I am impressed with them as performers and role models. They wear the promise rings and are well spoken, well mannered and have yet to display inappropriate behaviors on or off stage. You can't blame them for over exposure and insane marketing, that is the world we live in.
This is funny timing because I am taking my nieces(8/10) to see the Jonas Bros. next month. They both did very well this school year and I decided I wanted to do something to bond with them. My aunt took me to see my first concert. So, they are very excited and when I told them last weekend I thought, I really wish someone had taken me to see The New Kids on The block when I was 10. I literally had this thought last weekend. So, yesterday I am sitting at work and my marketing manager offers me a FREE ticket to see them perform. So, I was able to have a childhood dream come true last night.
Funny thing is...it was cool to see them live, they sounded good. Yet, it just seemed so over done, too much smoke, dancing, lights and pelvic gyrations. It just seemed unnecessary. I guess I am getting old.
I imagine someday my nieces will feel the same way about the Jonas Bros. ;D
