I was not a reality show fan, but I loved Rockstar INXS mostly because eveyrone on the show was talented and entertaining and because INXS was big in my heyday (hubby saw the KICK tour with Hutchence). The show made me more a fan of Marty than INXS, to be honest. I've perused this site often since the end of the show and finally got to see Marty and LH in DC last weekend. Was completely blown away and am just crazy to see them again sometime soon. My 20 month old twins love to pat their legs to the beat of Hold On, it's ridiculous! I am just amazed at the dedication that this band has from its old and NEW fans. Like many others, I had the pleasure of meeting them after the DC show and I was just completely overwhelmed by their genuine pleasure in talking with their current "bread and butter" fans. Unfortunately, I can't help but think as their star continues to rise how many more layers of publicists, managers, and bodyguards these dedicated fans will have to encounter in order to see LH up close and personal again. We all want them to be HUGE in this business, but it may be at our expense. My hope is that they will never forget all of you who have kept their dream alive on this site as long as possible --- Cindy, Amy, the street teams, everyone who's talking about them, voting for their songs, everyone who's made them food or given them some kind of love on the road, all whom seem bigger fans than me! Marty said on Mark/Brian show that the meet and greets are important to them, but even in DC we had a tour manager whipping us through the line (although I could tell that Marty was a little uncomfortable at this guy shouting at us). That's just the first layer... I'm impressed with all of you, especially since it appears we're all in different stages of our lives (young, old, single, married, kids, no kids, etc.) I hope that LH appreciates your good wishes, thoughts and efforts!! Keep up the love to get them where they want to be and hope they stay true to us! Until then, ROCK ON and enjoy the ride LH Fans!!

Thanks for posting pdhva! It is true that the bigger the LH's get, the more difficult it will be to get one on one time with the band members. That is why each of us who has had that opportunity must treasure it! I do believe that the LH's appreciate everything that the fans do for them more than any of us will ever know. Marty, Bobby, Dino and Billy are all so gracious in their posts/diary entries and in person. Let the LH continue! Welcome to the site and hope to see you here more often.

I live in the uk and found about Marty and the lovehammers through RS inxs where I thought Martys talent shone out way above everyone else`s. Since then I have become a huge fan of the lovehammers, the new album is amazing, I love every song. I used to live in the US and wish I still did so I could have seen the band live.
pdhva I also have twins aged almost 6years and they know every word to every song on the cd.

Thank you for visiting and noticing our dedication to Lovehammers. There is something about these guys that brings out the good in people. We weren't kidding when we said "spread the love"

Welcome pammy! It's great to have you aboard! You'll notice that there are a lot of international members all hoping the LH's will go abroad. Visit the aussie thread under the newbies section. ;D

Hi pdhva,
I posted something similar after the Mohegan Sun show. We are at the early stages of seeing MCLH rise to fame, and while we all want the very best for them because they really deserve it, we are also losing something wonderful in the process.
And I'm also crazy to see them again soon ... I feel like I am withdrawing from a drug!

Thank you for such a sweet post pdhva, we are dedicated that is for sure. I am trying to get as many encounters and great "moments" with the band now, so if the layers do start piling up, I will still have my memories of way back in the 'good old' Rockstar INXS days! ;D

What a wonderful post, pdhva And I'm also crazy to see them again soon ... I feel like I am withdrawing from a drug! I was feeling this the minute I was going home last night. I was ready to head to Florida!

What a wonderful post, pdhva And I'm also crazy to see them again soon ... I feel like I am withdrawing from a drug! I was feeling this the minute I was going home last night. I was ready to head to Florida! I'm still going through withdrawal from the Chicago performances. I don't know which is worse. The anticipation and wanting to see them for the very first time, or seeing them and then going through the withdrawal. I guess that means they are truly doing a fantastic job... always leave them wanting more. Den

Agreeing with the withdrawal thing--my Los Angeles Gibson and Viper Room were a month ago. I read about everyone's concert experiences and there is this "happy for you"--"sad for me" thing going on. Happy everyone is enjoying the shows--sad that I wasn't there and don't have anything yet on my calendar to look forward to.
Was trying to explain the concert experience to someone tonight and it is so hard to explain an experience. Everyone just smiled politely--like "she's off the deep end." I thought --you are right--I am and happy to be there!

Hey everyone.........I agree that as the popularity grows........the security will increase.....it's a natural progression............. I know I don't speak for the guys but since I AM a guy...I can somewhat understand them in a guy way........... As a guy...lol.....I can gaurantee you that LH will NEVER forego the fans.....EVER..........you mean too much to them.........they honest to goodness appreciate everything you have ever and will ever do for them.......(keep stalking to a minimum please......) At some point.....the up close interaction with their fans will be compromised.....not totally...but mostly....(in my opinion)......but you guys are forgetting the power of the internet.............meeting them in person is great (maybe someday....)......but you all know the reaction that takes place when Marty or any of the band post on the fan sites.........at times that is even MORE personal than being whisked thru a meet the band line.........and that is because they are sending the message to ALL OF YOU.....I know it's not quite the same as a personal encounter.......but it is important to not forget that all they have to do is take a few minutes in their day to post (something...ANYTHING...lol)....and the site will catch fire instantly!!!!!! Oh the power they have....he he he........ My two cents........

Absolutely true, stilletto. But it sucked to read on marty's first post to this site that he had to "ask permission" essentially from his management to find the time to check out the site. Actually, he said: "I told my management company that I needed some time this morning to check out the site and let you now how much I appreciate all of your help getting my musical career off the ground." Back when he posted that, he was very busy, as they were trying to get the album ready by the tour. So, if he could work in some time back then to "talk" to the fans, I think he'll continue to. In fact, they do already, through their diary posts on Lh.com! Those are really cool! And Dino has answered some questions sent in by fans! Gotta love Dino!

I'm totally with you on that, hopefully Marty et. al, will always stay in charge of their own lives. Although wouldn't we all love to have personal assitants, stylists, management, etc!!! I think LH are amazing people, and y'all are amazing fans, that's why I was so moved to write the original post. Thanks to everyone who's responded! I expected as much from everyone, y'all are very passionate folks and LH is lucky to have you in their corner...

I hope that the internet means a lot, being stuck in the UK and not being able to see them in concert dosen`t mean I don`t think of them every day.

I don't think you'll have to wait long... we're blowing it up big time for the Lovehammers here in the US right now, give it some time and they'll be on their way to see you soon!

Stiletto, you always have the right words. I will speak for myself, but I do get all excited and happy when they post ANYTHING and immediately post all around telling others to come and look. My friends think I'm crazy. LOL!
