Hey Marty! How are you? I was wondering if you have ever ridden a horse, or wanted to. Most people are scared to death, and I dont blame them! Everyone in my family is scared to death of my horse, I dont blame them he is a big, fast, thoroughbred. I have been riding for almost 11 years, and have had my 'Willoughby' for 7 years this March. He is very much my best freind and my guardian. He has taught me so much about myself, and who I can be, you have as well Marty And I want to thank you so much for that! I hope you enjoyed your birthday, and I hope you like your painting! its one of the best I have done! See you soon, Rachel

Horses?

Rachel,
I used to take horseback riding lessons with my sister when I was a kid. We would save up until we had enough for a lesson ($8) and the start saving till we could pay for another lesson. We really had a good time riding the horse thru the forest preserve in Palos Hills, IL.
One time I got to ride a horse for 8 or 9 hours in Mexico. I was helping get the cows together and get them down to lick salt and drink water from a stream. I had never done this before. I felt like a real cowboy but my butt hurt so bad I literally ended up walking next to my horse for the last hour of the exhibition. When we arrived home I was so drained I skipped dinner and laid down in bed and couldn't get up. All of my bones felt jumbled and scrunched up from bouncing around all day. My back was throbbing.
I give it to those coyboys and cowgirls. It's really hardcore to ride a horse for hours every day. I was harder than surfing, snowboarding and running combined!
Marty
