Rachel and Nancy, thanks for the great reviews!! And Lyn, the pics are beautiful!! I really wish I could have made this show--sounds like such a fun time. (unfortunately, I still had a black, blue and deep purple eye from my Springfield encounter with Marty and "Trees." However, I would have liked to have seen the spot where Marty knocked himself out, because as Poet said, he talked about this quite comically at Blueberry Hill in St. Louis on the Get Live tour. Obviously, having learned his lesson, he was well aware on that small, very confined stage that he couldn't/shouldn't do much jumping and leaping around, and he told that story of having knocked himself out. It was very cute. Glad you all had fun. Having not seen any of you or Marty in a year and a half, I really have the bug again--family REALLY thinks I'm nuts this time (with the black eye and all), but hell, what else is life all about??  |

Hello Marty World!!!!!!!
It's the Minnesota couple from the blast at Penny Road Pub!!!! Thank you so much for all the help that special night Nancy. You made us feel at home with all your kindness. Also, dancing on and off the stage was pretty sweet. Ironically, my last name is Hamernik and my friends call me Hammer. Therefore, I am my girlfriend Chris's Lovehammer. I think it was meant to be. When Marty asked me if I had any stories to tell about our 5 hour ride down I did come up with a couple quick funny answers but this is what I really wanted to say:
My lover and I Chris were at a surprise b-day party in Minnesota and we decided it was time to head to see a SKINNY WHITE GUITAR PLAYER. We told our friends we had to CREEP on down the road and they all said JUST GO. They wanted us to stay but i said, CAN'T ALWAYS GET WHAT YOU WANT and you will NEVER TEAR US APART. Off we went DRIVING BLIND through the TREES all the way to the CLOUDS to see MR. BRITESIDE. All we could do was HOLD ON and wait for the show. Then it HIT ME BABY, I thought about calling my friends back at the party to say WISH YOU WERE HERE. Now all we hoped for was that Marty would play LITHIUM. This is my little RIDDLE to Marty since I was a SLEEPER on stage. As our night went on at the Marty Party, we all rocked out together with Marty, Nancy, Duane, Kim, Jerry, Kathy and many others. See you all again soon!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the great dance! Just like all of our drinks that night.....we never had a bad one. Jag bombs with Marty, more than once, was all I needed to keep on jammin with everybody. I'll save you a McMarty sandwich. I opened a little McMarty sandwich stand and I've already given 9,876,543,210,987,654,321 of them away. Of course, you had to prove you were a fan to get one.
