WOW--just utterly friggin' WOW!!!!!!!!  Marty's voice sounded fantastic tonight. When he sang "Honest I'll Wait", it was soaring, achingly beautiful and soulful, and U2-esque. Every song was incredible. His voice keeps getting stronger and better all the time. It's blowing my mind. It moved me emotionally so much tonight that it's painful. I don't really know how to describe it. Just really shaken. Everyone should try to get to at least one of these shows in small venues, because I have a feeling it won't be much longer until Marty man is playing really big venues. Cherish these days. |

Nancy- Sounds like an amazing performance--as much as I wish tons of fame and fortune for him, I hope that there will still be many more of the more intimate solo shows. My husband and I are taking our boys to meet Marty in Burr Ridge, IL on the 13th at a Holiday stroll. They are really looking forward to see him "for real". Will post details after the meet and greet! |

I agree, Nancy--Marty's voice just seems to get stronger and stronger all the time. It was so nice to see you, Jodi, and Yak again, and great to meet the lovely ladies from Jackson who were also at our table. And of course, to drive up and back with otb It's been a busy year for me, and I haven't been around the boards as much or following things as closely as before, but when Marty started to perform, I was once again blown away by how talented he is. He has such an ability to connect, even when it's just him and his acoustic guitar. I wish I could have gone on to Cambridge too! Here's hoping these shows become an annual event. |

Chris and I are hoping to come to the NYE show and stay over in that hotel where the show will be held. We just hope there isn't a ton of snow. We hope to visit with you again.
