Marty, I've been out of the loop for quite awhile. Just wondering if the LA Guns CD is still on target for March as was mentioned last year and what's up with the upcoming LH CD? Haven't pre-sales been happening since October? What's the target release date? You've done some Hammer shows in the last few months...are you still a Gun? Are you officially a Hammer-Gun or a Gunning Hammer or are you now Gunless? These are the questions of the loopless. Thanks, Laurie (Ninja)

Domo Arigato Ninja!
These are good questions and I know that when you are singing in two bands, things can get a bit confusing.
At the moment I am in Chicago and working on new stuff with Lovehammers. The cd release date is June 19th at the House of Blues and we are fully immersed in the recording process. Dino initially envisioned a cd full of b-sides and other stuff that we had completed but never released over the years. I thought that we should give the fan a whole new experience and write a record of all new material. Bob, Billy, Dino and I have been having the time of our lives getting creative and bouncing ideas off of eachother. I am very excited about what we have come up with. Lots of unique ideas and everyone seems to be hitting stride in the studio and making some great music. I really feel good to be in the studio and just putting it all on the line.
The La Guns cd is pretty much done except for some finishing touches. I don't have any control of that project in terms of release dates and how they want to orchestrate the business side of a record release thru the label. I am waiting patiently and seeing where they go with it. I was initially told that the CD would be release in April 2009 under a new band name. Since I arrived home from New Zealand I have not gotten any updates or new info. Guns has a few dates in the works for this summer and most of them are festival dates and I look forward to jamming. Would like to play all of the new material but that is a decision of the band and the label and once again I have no control over it.
I'm glad that both bands are lenient enough to let me dive into both projects. I go absolutely crazy when I have nothing to do and this keeps me more than busy 7 days a week. I love it! It keeps me focused and driven.
One thing that I wish people would understand is that MANY MANY musicians play in more than one project. Fans seem to question me like I have to choose a side "are you a Hammer Gun or a Gun Hammer...?" Is Meynard from Tool a Perfect Circle or a Puscifer.. Or all three! Follow any loop that tickles your fancy and I'll try to keep you updated to where things are at!
Marty
